ECHL Transactions: Tulsa Oilers 02/13/2024

Forward Geoff Kitt has been suspended by the Tulsa Oilers and removed from the roster. Teams typically use this move to allow players to sign contracts with European teams. 27-year-old Geoff Kitt is a native of Sioux Lookout, ON. He played four seasons with Mercyhurst University before turning pro in 2022.

Geoff played one game for the Birmingham Bulls of the SPHL in October 2022 before signing with the Steinbach Steel Wings Linz of the Alps Hockey League, a professional hockey league in central Europe comprising 16 teams from Austria, Italy, and Slovenia. He played 20 games in 2022, scoring eleven goals, thirteen assists, and 24 points. He signed with EV Duisburg, a team in the German Oberliga or DEL3, at the beginning of the 2023 season. He played 28 games for the Fuchse (Fox), scoring five goals, 14 assists, and 19 points. He signed with the Tulsa Oilers on January 24th, 2024, and debuted against the Idaho Steelheads on January 26th. He has not recorded a point in his six games with the Oilers. Information on Geoff Kitt’s next team hasn’t been made available.

The Tulsa Oilers are back on home ice against the Allen Americans this Friday at 7:05 p.m.
