It was announced on August 14th, 2023, that the Utah Grizzlies are bringing back fan favorite Dakota Raabe. Going into his third season with Utah, Raabe has been a huge contributor since joining the team late in the 2021-22 season. Last season, Raabe played in 55 games while tallying 36 points (11G, 25A).

Raabe, a US native out of California, played at the NCAA level for two teams over five years, mostly at the University of Michigan. Playing four seasons with the Wolverines, Raabe racked up 11 goals and 22 assists in 115 games played. Last year, Raabe had one goal in the five playoff games with Utah. In the year prior, Dakota Raabe scored his first-ever hat trick against the Idaho Steelheads on April 15, 2022, as the Grizzlies earned their first-ever Mountain Division Championship. Raabe was a key player in that playoff run as in 14 games played, racking up six points: (2G,4A).

It will be good to see Raabe back in Utah, as his speed can change the game as he scored the shootout winner in the eighth round on 3/12/23. The 5’9” forward is the seventh returning player and the 11th player to sign with Utah. The current roster currently sits as follows: D; Jacob Semik, D; Kade Jensen, F; Dylan Stewart, D; Bryan Yoon, D; Kyle Pouncy, F; Tyler Penner, F; Dylan Fitze, D; Cory Thomas, D; Keoni Texeira, F; Jared Power, F; Dakota Raabe.

The Grizzlies start their season on October 21st at home against the Tulsa Oilers. Tickets for that game and the 2023-24 season are available at UtahGrizzlies.com
