Without their captain who left against the Florida Panthers back on March 2nd, the Red Wings are 1-6-0 and have been outscored 34-16. The Red Wings now trail the Washington Capitals who have one game in hand by a point and makes tonights game a must win against a team that is in last in the Eastern Conference. If the Red Wings lose tonight it may be a cause for concern with a big matchup ahead against the Islanders on Thursday night and a matchup with the Capitals coming next Tuesday.

In their last ten games against Columbus, Detroit is 6-2-2, and have outscored the Blue Jackets 42-29 in those ten games. Detroit beat Columbus twice this season once 4-0 and the other game 5-4.
