The Detroit Red Wings are coming off a comeback win in overtime over the New York Islanders 4-3. The Red Wings were down 2-0 in the third period with 19 minutes left in the game before scoring three unanswered goals; the Islanders added one with over four minutes left to force overtime, and Lucas Raymond secured the win in overtime. The Florida Panthers are coming in off an overtime game of their own, but they suffered a loss at the hands of the Boston Bruins 3-2.

Red Wings Player to Watch: J.T. Compher

Compher has played in all ten games since joining Detroit this offseason. In the ten games he has played, he has recorded six points, coming on two goals and four assists.

Compher will center the second line, playing with David Perron and Andrew Copp on his wings. Compher also centers the second line of the Detroit power play, playing with Copp, Lucas Raymond, Daniel Sprong, and Jake Walman.
