Red Wings Player to Watch: Patrick Kane

After signing with them a few weeks ago, Kane has played two games for the Red Wings this season, scoring his first goal on Saturday night.

Kane’s Line Assignments

Kane will play on the second line tonight with Alex DeBrincat and Joe Veleno. He will also play on the first power play unit with DeBrincat, Veleno, Lucas Raymond, and Moritz Seider.

Kane’s career vs. Dallas

In his career against Dallas, he has played in 64 games, recording 76 points on 32 goals and 44 assists. Last year, in two games against the Stars, he scored two goals and two assists.

Between The Pipes

Detroit: James Reimer (2-2-2, 2.18 GAA)

Reimer came into Saturday’s game in relief of Lyon and stopped all 11 shots he faced. In his career against the Dallas, he is 9-3-1, allowing 34 goals on 423 shots.

Dallas: Jake Oettinger (10-7-2, 2.84 GAA)

Oettinger’s last start came on Saturday against Vegas, where he suffered the loss, allowing six goals on 27 shots. In his career against Detroit, he has appeared in seven games, going 5-2-0 and allowing 16 goals on 152 shots. Last season against Detroit, he played in both games, going 2-0-0, stopping 36 out of 39 shots he faced.

Wrap Up:

Tonight’s game will be challenging for the Red Wings, but they can’t afford to go on a three-game losing streak with the Atlantic Division being so close together. They are currently in fourth in the Atlantic Division after Saturday’s loss.

In their last ten games against Dallas, the Red Wings are 2-4-4, and they’ve been outscored 37-24 in those games. The Red Wings last season went 0-1-1 against the Stars and were outscored 9-3 in those two games.
