the off season where there's not just not a lot of stuff going on but I will say this I was doing a little bit of research just to try to get any type of

I mean it's not like he's winning the thing but a lot of them though were top you know 20 15 I mean a lot of them were

fairly High yeah I mean he's he's been um very responsible defensively for the

majority of his career I would say in the last couple of years that's waned a

little bit he'll still back check but you know he's he's primarily looking

offense now at this stage in his career I would say um you know had some bad line changes that led to uh you know

goals at in opportune times so um yeah I I would say over the course of his

career he has been a very very good two-way player and one of the best left

Wings in the NHL for stretchy Years A plus uh 292 or something or other like a

plus ridiculous and I mean a lot of that has to do with playing with Patrice berson one of the best defensive forwards ever in the planet um so that

helps of course this this past season marshan was just a plus two he's

actually been a positive every single season every single full season he's played that's pretty good that's pretty

good and uh and last year just a plus two the lowest that he has been um you

know not a lot of scoring from that line too not a lot of five great five on five play last season yeah I mean score some

goals their five on five play slipped a little bit the Bruins it did um and you

know a lot of that has to do and we've talked about it a lot over the the course of last season but a lot of that

goes to the center play if you don't win faceoffs you don't have the puck and you

know then you're chasing and that's not conducive to Great five on five play and

generating scoring chances so um you know we've talked about it a lot you've

talked about it a lot you need that Elite Center play um Coyle and zaka

during the regular season very good Seasons overall still not great on the dot either one of them really Coyle was

was marginally better uh zaka ended up moving to Wing H that's how good he was on the face in the faceof circle so um

you know and then in the playoffs not great really um for either one of them

um so they do need that Elite Center they need that Elite Talent and we were hoping that maybe they'd go out and get

it in free agency uh it wasn't meant to be so um Lind Holm hopefully can fill that

L and he is a Faceoff guy so you know hopefully that improves some I mean

hopefully it does I mean I think the team has obviously looked for def defense goal tending you know they have

a really good defensive core they have really good defensive forwards they lose one in the bruss but gain a good

defensive Center in lolm so you know I think that's the Avenue they're going in I'm really interested to see if they can

get balance scoring throughout the season if they can really be one of the top six or eight offensive teams as far

as goal scoring is concerned because that's kind of where you need to be uh if you're going to be a Stanley Cup

yeah I don't I don't think they're going to be a top uh offensive team I really don't I think they'll I I wouldn't say

same type of depth that some other teams have in their own division even with with Florida and Toronto certainly um

solo cements the backup job and isn't cut you know after Camp uh you know if

if busy doesn't win that job then I assume it'll be busy and DPO in Providence and and bishell will probably

overall a pretty good list I would say yeah not bad you know I um I I I agree

with lethal migraine Nashville below Carolina seems odd because I really think Nashville is going to be pretty

good um this season I think they're going to be good uh and I agree um I'm

generally not a fan of the Athletics list either uh sometimes they seem to be a little skewed against the Bruins I

the Bruins I think are definitely right now better than Tampa Bay I think they've been sliding down hill um for a

couple of years now in aging uh so I do like the I think I you know I like what

the Bruins did in sort of changing a little bit of the makeup of the team and getting ly

home to at least be a legitimate Center for them like I I like that and I do

think that lowai and Patra another year under their belt in the league like I think that this year they could be a

little bit better than we might think but again offensively it's a challenge you know and they aren't flashy you're

right so and that's that could be something that would they they might

sneak up on teams because they aren't flashy and they're not going to show like a ton of offensive Firepower on

paper and so forth but they might just go out win games like they have been you know so I don't know I mean I I

don't know yeah I mean if if lindol can get can develop some chemistry with with pasta and um

zaka and get back to anywhere close to where he was a few years ago when he was

Bruins are should be in pretty good shape because then you know their Center depth is is better than it has been and

you know you're getting some offensive production from from lindol who you know

hasn't really shown that in the last few years um you know he did have a good

playoff so hopefully that's something to build on but um yeah I mean the Bruins

could certainly surprise him teams um and I you know they'll keep games close

at least yeah yeah they will I it's going to be the most entertaining hockey to watch but may not be they'll they'll

number but it's not a terrible number either I'd be interested to see how the rest of the league Falls as far as that

goes I would say most of the teams are probably in that same range like seven to 10 are drafted and then there's a

handful that are traded for and and so forth and um so yeah it would be to see

how that all shakes out those guys are all pretty good players for the Bruins

sure yeah um you know and low Ry and ptra certainly have the opportunity to

make a pretty significant impact here in the coming years so not a bad draft or

not a bad class of of players overall they from Sweeney yeah you know what and

you know he gets beaten up for 2015 and so forth now 20 2018 2018 blows but that

solid prospects on there it's gonna take a little bit of time yeah to see if they can really make an impact you have some

there now and you know we've talked about all the guys Pelosi um there's a lot of guys

Hendrickson so but those guys are still a couple years away I mean at least so

we'll have to see what and to rank that those that part of the draft after that

but um but you know Sweeney's done a pretty good job it seems to be in the

last three years really three to four years of drafting because we hear that

these players are actually doing pretty well and progressing so and

then we see them at development camp and we see some good highlights of them and so time will tell in another three or

four years if that shakes out but it looks like he's getting better at it and not being so let's go grab a guy and try
