2:44
couple uh and um you know it's uh I'll tell you when they lost to the rang
2:49
Rangers have been tough for them Rangers are a scary team for the Bruins um and there was some talk here
2:56
about the Bruins kind of I don't know coasting into the playoffs and postseason and Monty has a fraking fit
3:04
the other day and um you know it didn't start well for the Bruins this week no
3:09
it didn't uh and the Rangers do kind of have the number but the Rangers look the Rangers are a really good team I mean
3:15
they have lots of depth they have h a very good defense and very good goal tending so they're going to be tough for
3:20
anybody um but the Bruins really didn't seem you know they've been starting slow they've been TR having trouble holding
3:26
leads their defensive structure hasn't been great you know that their net front battle presence hasn't been great and
3:33
then you know they so they lose to the Rangers and then here come the Flyers and and the Flyers just made them
3:38
embarrass them I mean the Bruins didn't really seem up to the challenge Flyers are desperate to make the playoffs
3:44
they're fighting for their lives and the Bruins just weren't ready to go not at all no and then coming into
3:50
this Panthers game you know the way the Bruins finished the Flyers game and then the way they started practice Monty lost
3:58
his mind he lost his mind because they just uh they just haven't seemed to kind
4:03
of focus in and he said they weren't ready for the playoffs just bluntly said it and um yeah so so uh you know a
4:11
little bit of a tough stretch there but then they rebound uh last night with a big win over Florida in Florida against
4:18
a team that's kind of been their Nemesis uh in in the playoffs um they the Bruins
4:24
have handled them this year they're three and0 against them this year uh that they play them again on April 6 so
4:29
that should be a pretty good tilt but uh you know a good bounceback win last night for the Bruins well you've talked
4:35
about this before and you're a big advocate for your bottom six guys in the
4:41
playoffs being a big deal being making a big difference like being able to set
4:46
the tone being able to give his offensive balance you know a lot of times that's the matchup third lines
4:53
against each other whatever that wins the thing in the end like or has an advantage so I think that this Bruins
5:00
team has always been relying on the top guys and the way they go the team goes 100% there not a lot of depth in that if
5:08
they aren't ready to go the bottom six guys don't always rise to the challenge
5:15
so they kind of take on whatever mood or whatever you know however the team you
5:21
know the top guys are playing at the time and I think that this Bruins team
5:27
has that kind of thing if posano and Mar this Maran had like three goals in 24
5:32
games like he's not playing great looks to be hitting a little bit of a wall he's older he's played every game uh
5:39
which I don't know if I agree with he's had uh double hips in that whole thing he been been great for the first twoth
5:47
thirds of the Season or whatever but for the last 25ish games he's been okay he's
5:53
been okay um so however they go is how the team goes and I think that that's
5:59
part of the issue with them is that it's not really I think we're finding out
6:05
it's not really Cassidy that was the issue when it comes to that like he would lose his mind and then they bring
6:11
in Monty who was more of a softer voice and positive guy well now he's losing
6:17
his mind so what does that say about the core of the team at the end of the day
6:23
you know are they Tough Enough do they want it bad enough in those types of things yeah I I think that's something
6:30
that that you have to worry about a little bit um I I don't know if Monty would is um I I think he was really more
6:38
in that instance trying to get their attention like look we you know we're we've been pretty good over the course
6:46
of the season um and we're kind of slipping here and falling into some bad habits and we got to shake out of this
6:52
before we start the playoffs or it's going to be an early round exit so I without a doubt yeah I think he was to
7:00
trying to uh to light a fire under them there yeah sure all right and that leads
7:05
us to to chirp one of the chirps are brought to you seven chirs brought to you by lobs Brewing Lobster brewing and

7:24
brewing for new beers and events and SHP one is just that Monty loses his mind uh
7:29
at a practice prior to the Panthers game is this a sign that he might be getting
7:35
a little desperate or having to change kind of how he's coaching and his coaching Style
7:42
with this group I don't like I said I don't think it's desperation necessarily I think he was just trying to to light a
7:48
fire under them um you know desperate is when you're down you know 3-1 in a
7:54
series and you're trying you know pulling things out of your ass to try to to try to get the team to respond I
8:00
don't think he's lost the team because they did respond um you know for the for the
8:06
second half of that practice and then in the Florida game I thought they they showed a lot more um kind of fightback
8:13
in battle than they have and I think that is actually a good sign for the for
8:18
the playoffs so we'll see what happens there but um it seemed to have caught
8:24
their attention yeah without a doubt and I I just hope that you know I'm I'm a
8:31
big believer when you're coaching to stick to your personality you can't be someone you're not so if if he wants to
8:36
think that he's going to have to go out and like be a screamer and do this whole thing that's just not going to work at the end of the day and I think he is
8:42
feeling a little bit of pressure now I mean they blew it last year with him at the helm and if they don't if they go
8:48
out with a sort of a whimper in round one now I mean you have to really
8:54
consider whether his job is on the line at that point and if if they're going to continue to go with him if they aren't
9:01
performing in the playoffs so you know that's a and it's going to be a tough first round match up unless you know if
9:08
they get the capitals they'll probably beat the capitals um but their wings could be tough the fraking Maple Leaves
9:15
will be really tough tough so you know who knows what what happens there so I
9:21
think it's it's um it's definitely a time where you have to consider whether Monty will survive this
9:29
if they kind of go in you know with a whimper and then go out with a whimper in the in the first round yeah I think
9:36
you have to ask that question I mean it's it's kind of unfair the guy's been here for two years and the team has you
9:43
know had the greatest regular season of all time but then lost in the playoffs and then this year it was kind of
9:49
expected to be more of kind of a bridge year you know you lose um some key guys off your team berson and Cree and and
9:57
and berzi and H like a lot of you you lost a lot of offensive talent and depth
10:04
off this team and they responded and they've been pretty good all year long I mean they have flaws everybody has flaws
10:10
with the exception maybe of a couple of teams um so it it'll be interesting to
10:15
see and and how how things shake out if they do lose early in the playoffs you
10:21
know because he has had such a a pretty good regular season you know good regular seasons with um you know
10:29
especially this year the expectations were a little bit lower yeah they were
10:34
and you know of course they're going to be a little lower anyway but they they did play pretty well for much of the
10:40
Season they're right in position to be the top team in the Eastern Conference I mean they are in position to do that uh
10:47
which not a lot of people expected I mean I had them second in the division which you know they could still end up
10:53
there but uh I certainly didn't think that they'd win you know win the conference or win a presid trophy or any
11:00
of that so it has been a pretty good year considering but again it all comes down to the postseason does you just
11:07
don't if if they don't they don't win and they lose in the first round again that's that's not that's not a good
11:14
thing a chirp two and how about this the Bruins are 91 and four when they fight this year so all you wackadoos who think
11:21
that fighting is the is the core of hockey still you know I guess that's a good I guess you're right I guess the
11:28
Bruins just need fight every game yeah they'd be 82 82 and0 if they fought
11:33
every game yeah sure fight yeah every time they fight they win uh trip two rough figures here uh but this was from
11:41
Tai Anderson but since uh hampus lolm returns to the lineup on March 9th the linol Brandon Carlo peir has been on the
11:48
ice for 11 goals against in about 120 minutes or so of all situational play so
11:53
the Bruins have allowed 11 goals in the 290 minutes or so with that pairing off
11:58
the ice so the Bruins Rose to the physical challenge by Florida finally does this well bode well for them going
12:06
into the playoffs and and a listen listener asked how to solve this linol
12:11
Carlo pairing but I think you saw it toward the end of the game be more
12:16
physical yeah that's the answer for those guys did you know that that fight was hampus lindholm's first career fight
12:24
in the NFL it was his first career fight wow his first career fight in the league
12:30
in the league so wow I mean he's a nice guy Brandon Carl is a nice guy too yeah they're both Wonder play more like they
12:37
played last night Brandon kylo I think this year overall has been more physical
12:43
than he has been is it enough no it is not enough nope he can still do more uh
12:50
and hampus lindome needs to do a lot more and the fact that he stood up to S Bennett last night was a giant step in
12:58
my opinion in the right dire yeah and they they need to that's the difference that's the reason if they're going to be
13:04
out especially if they're going to be out against other team's top lines like if that's the Bruins you know so-called
13:10
shutdown line if they're going to be out there against the other team's top lines they have to be much more nasty much
13:17
much much more nasty you don't necessarily have to fight but you have to use your big bodies to cross check
13:23
clear the front of the net U make people not want to come in there not necessarily box them out and lift their
13:30
sticks make them not want to go there that's the difference between a nasty
13:36
physical defenseman and a guy who just you know takes care of someone's stick you know that's not the same thing
13:43
especially in the playoffs I and I think lyol especially if if I think it'll help him be engaged
13:50
more and give him a little more confidence because last year he really struggled in the first round it seemed
13:55
like he didn't really want any real contact and he was kind of you know really indecisive the the hard for
14:01
checking really bothered him but I think if he he stands up to Sam Bennett now maybe that turns a corner for him it
14:07
maybe because he look play the players they listen to the nonsense sure like he
14:13
knows that people think he's soft yeah he knows this so if he if he has some of
14:20
that you know kind of Confidence from being more physical getting in a fight
14:25
you know he survived it like maybe that's all he really needed to say okay I can I can do this part of it too uh
14:32
and I I agree on Carlo I think he's been pretty good largely most of the year and I think he's been more physical I think
14:37
he's been a little bit better after the whistle and that type of thing and then when he stood up to kachuk last night at
14:43
the end of the game I thought that was great like I think that's what he needs to do so I think that pairing really
14:49
needs to play that way and they'll be fine because they're both good players like they'll be fine so but I but I
14:57
think it's necessary and they're going to be part of The Fall Guys if it doesn't go well yeah because if they
15:04
playist this way with those kind of numbers then that there gonna be a big Hefty blame and then you have to wonder
15:10
you know do you have to move on from a linol or do you have to change the dynamic of your defense which we've
15:16
talked about yeah I mean lindol really needs to be for that pairing he needs to be much better because he needs to be
15:23
the one going back on pucks and making the the decisions to pass the puck out of the Zone that's not really Brandon
15:29
kylo's game you know makoy can do it you know Lind Holm is your other guy who's
15:35
supposed to be your you know you're really good Puck moving defenseman and if he's worried about getting knocked
15:41
around um you know you see the turnovers and and H in their own Zone and and
15:46
problems with that so he really has to uh be much better and kind of raise his
15:51
game not necessarily to the level he was at at the beginning of last year cuz that's just unfair he was playing at a
15:57
ridiculous level and you can't expect him to to do that for an entire season
16:03
or entire playoff um because that just hasn't been in his nature over the course of his career but um to approach
16:10
that um would would really help the Bruins uh a lot in the
16:15
playoffs 100% and I and I agree so I think um you know I'm they're a major
16:22
focus when it comes to comes to the success of the team because they both play Heavy minutes and um that needs to
16:29
be a good pairing it would help makavo out a lot if that was the case too so we'll see how that goes for them chirp
16:36
three per an NHL Source the Bruins are Front Runners to sign uh forward in 2023
16:44
Frozen for hero Jacob quillin but are not in on his teammate Colin graph with
16:51
Quinnipiac uh and more at Boston hockey now Bruins can clinch the playoffs with
16:57
one point tonight against Tampa for a shitty soft Bridge team that's pretty good
17:03
e yeah I mean this was supposed to be a year that they weren't you know expected to do much I mean I went back and looked
17:09
at some of the ESPN predictions for the season uh a lot of them had the Miss in the playoffs a lot of them had had them
17:15
as like the first second wild card team a lot of them had them third in in the division so they had them uh kind of
17:22
much lower down than where they've been you know over the course of this course of the year so I think Bruins um have
17:30
over performed a little bit um based on expectations going into the year so
17:35
they've they've been doing pretty well and here they are with the chance to be the second team that that clinches the
17:40
playoff birth with a point tonight yeah I think so too and um it's it's good
17:47
that they responded the way they did last night I'm really interested to see how they play second night of back toback against another good team uh if
17:54
they come out tonight and play the same kind of way and win then we may have seen a tournament point in Florida we
18:00
really may have um in that whole practice and stepping up Martian
18:05
fighting lyol fighting W spoon stepping up to kachuck all of it like all of it
18:11
being okay almost like a turning point in Vancouver Series in the finals where they just say enough's enough and they
18:18
just start fighting back yeah maybe it is maybe it is a turning point kind of thing if they come out and and they and
18:25
they [ __ ] on their and [ __ ] their pants then here we are again here we are again yeah Charlie last night by the way had
18:32
uh you know didn't have any points but had seven or eight hits in that game last night so he was uh he was certainly
18:37
throwing his body around and when he does that uh and Marian you know steps up and and fights um I think he really
18:44
you know those guys kind of set the set the set the table set the message of of how the Bruins needed to respond to
18:50
these guys you know Marian's 59 he's fighting Mika who's 6'4 I mean he's given up you know seven inches or
18:57
whatever and and uh you know got a couple shots in but then you know thrown to the ice and lindol you know it wasn't
19:03
the fact that they actually fought it was the fact that they actually stood up themselves and if they can continue to
19:09
do that and and and match the physicality I think they'll be fine they're a good team they're a good team
19:15
they're gonna be you know a tough out with the goal tending in the defense and you know some star players you know
19:20
they're going to be a tough out if they can match that physicality but that's the big thing can they do that for three
19:28
months or however long it takes to you know go deep deep into the playoffs that'll be you know that'll be the
19:35
challenge it will uh chirp number four is charie makoy the key to the success
19:42
of your Boston Bruins so I I was looking at this uh and
19:47
somebody I can't recall who um posted this but um when the Bruins H when he
19:54
scores a goal the Bruins are eight- one Wow when he a point they have five
20:00
regulation losses in 31 games wow so when he is playing like a
20:08
top five 10 defenseman the Bruins usually win and Inter when he
20:16
doesn't they aren't as good and that's that's clear as day and I was looking at
20:22
it um before uh his two-point game last night he was pointless in like 10 10 or
20:27
11 games in a row he just hasn't hasn't been hasn't been great hasn't been himself uh and they
20:34
need him to be that stud back there that's you know scoring goals and and getting assists and he had a big hit
20:41
last night on on Reinhardt um you know when he's kind of the alpha dog back
20:46
there and playing well and playing with confidence they are a different team they are um whether he you know it's
20:54
hard to say that he you know one guy makes all the difference but um it it definitely because he plays a lot of
21:00
minutes so when he's playing a lot of minutes at a very high level they are an extremely tough team to beat yeah
21:07
without without questioning he he is I mean he plays 25 minutes a game whatever he's going to play more in the playoffs so yeah he's a big factor without
21:16
questioning and we just talked about Carlo and what he has to bring to the table and if anything happens to makoy
21:21
if he's not playing well it puts even more pressure on Carlo so yes it's a it's a big factor for sure and he has to
21:29
be the the Drew dowy and the you know all the list of guys dun all the guys
21:34
over the years who have been stud defenseman who have led cup runs he's
21:40
got to be that guy and until he's that guy then he's then it's hard to put him
21:45
in the conversation of the top three or four defenseman in the league it's just hard to do so um because he doesn't
21:52
bring quite the offensive numbers those other guys do so this is what he needs to be for sure all right chirp five
22:00
Parker wspoon and Andrew Peak are the third pair and is it the third pair come
22:05
playoff time W spoon and Peak played 1143 last night it was one- nothing
22:11
Bruins five to2 in shots for the Bruins a good effort for them and then water spoon stands up to kachuck and that
22:17
could be your third pairing I think it should be I think it should be your third pairing in the playoffs I don't
22:24
think lowai are ready uh for the physicality of the playoffs um um and I
22:29
think he still makes some some mistakes that you know you can't really live with
22:34
in the playoffs you know it's fine um you know for him to learn in the regular season and this is part of my point of
22:41
why I thought he should have been getting minutes in the regular season down the stretch of some of these games
22:47
where he was benched um because now you can't really use him in the playoffs because you don't trust him so I I think
22:55
the water spoon Peak pairing has been good um I think they both play a physical style they're both willing to
23:01
block shots they're both willing to fight and I don't know if if uh while
23:06
spoon is particularly um great at fighting but he's willing to do it uh
23:12
Peak has been really good and very very solid since he joined the Bruins I believe he I don't know what his plus
23:19
minus was last night but I think he's a plus three he's playing about 13 14 15 minutes a night um you know and he's and
23:26
he's physical in the corners and he's wins Puck battles he had a really good uh play last night where uh it was four
23:34
on four and um Florida was going to get a short power play for like 17 20
23:40
seconds and Pete got the puck and instead of just firing it down the ice on a 4 on four he held on to it brought
23:47
it back behind his net and and essentially killed off the 20 seconds that Florida had would have had for
23:54
power play time just by being being smart and and having
24:58
we wanted guys who I mean we keep talking about the third pairing when they won the cup you you got to be that
25:04
type of pairing it's kind of hard to play against kind of and we talk about that all the time but you know just kind
25:10
of standing up to guys playing with a little bit of an edge you're only going to play you know 12 minutes a game
25:16
probably come playoff time you know just just maybe one of them can penalty kill
25:21
you know stay get in front of the net protect your goalie you know keep it simple and those types of things and I
25:27
think they they could they have the possibility they've done it already of of sort of playing well off each other
25:33
yeah I think so I think they have a pretty good chemistry with each other and I think that's exactly what you need out of your third pair tough to play
25:39
against you know in your own end and look if they if after every shift it's
25:46
essentially z z and they don't give up any goals while they're out there and and give the other team a hard time
25:51
that's a win in my opinion sure like you're a third pair to go out there you don't you don't get scored on and you
25:57
and you rough up the team's guys while you're out there and then you know your shift's over that's a win that's that's
26:03
a nice drive you ate some ice ice time up that Charlie makoy or Brandon Carlo or somebody else doesn't have to cover
26:10
you know and so um that's exactly what you need from those guys killing penalties blocking shots doing whatever
26:16
it takes to to to win the games and just being strong and sturdy in your own end I mean that's that's you can't ask for
26:23
really more than that from those guys right right now Peak is you know 17 minutes a game he's he's a plus4 in six
26:29
games with them he has an assist he has only two giveaways like so he's playing
26:35
simple playing smart um you know he's he's been he's been good he's been he's
26:41
been fine I I see I actually saw someone on Twitter I think it was say they hadn't really noticed him which is a
26:47
good thing exactly you don't want to notice him yeah you know you know if if
26:53
uh if he's in the offensive end maybe you want to notice him if he does something you like oh you know like lowai couple tow drags in the offensive
26:59
end some goals that's nice but in the defensive end you don't want to notice them at all like it's you know like PE
27:06
passes to Coyle Coyle gets it out of the zone whenn you know you know it's not
27:11
low ride passes to Reinhardt who scores it's not that that's not what you're looking for so um yeah any kind of uh
27:18
you know positive um performance in the own in your own Zone that's that leads
27:24
to uh you going unnoticed is is definitely uh a good a good thing oh
27:29
it's a great thing like I there was yeah there was a game where I was like boy I haven't really heard his name much but
27:34
that's that's not bad you know again he's not going to give you a lot of offense he has two shots on net like
27:40
he's just not going to do a lot of that thing Peak but he's gonna be a little bigger a little more physical he's going
27:47
to be solid with the puck perfect like that is perfect pretty well too for a big guy that I he does he does pretty
27:54
well and that's a big step up from Derek forbort sure big step up who was like a deer on
28:00
Ice all right then chirp six realistic offensive plan for the Bruins and then if you have
28:07
a reach option on what they could do and this comes from Joe Phil on Twitter a
28:14
realistic offseason plan for me I don't think I don't want Elias Lindholm I've
28:21
decided I don't want him I think he's been down the last few years the Face Off part I do like I'm more of like a
28:27
give like a Chandler Stevenson type a big guy who's going to be um probably
28:33
similar to Charlie Coyle maybe if you played him with great players like if he was playing with aano maybe that brings
28:40
some offense out of him um but that would be a guy that I would want for the Bruins um big strong guy um down the
28:49
middle um so he'd be someone I'd be looking at I would want to add some depth on defense I think the guys that
28:56
you have right now I think um makes up your your top six I mean
29:01
lowai I think slides in for grizzli when when grizzli is a UFA I think he's gone
29:07
I think forbo's gone so I think you're looking at you know makoy you know lowai
29:13
or lindol Carlo and water spoon and Peak I think that's your six and then you
29:19
fill in um if you can improve that certainly try to do that um but I think
29:25
you need help on the middle and then it's you know do you assign JD to a to a
29:30
short-term deal possibly uh depending on how he does in the
29:36
playoffs or do you go for a a Winger that can that can score with a guy like
29:41
you know I guess the reach would be a guy like Stam Coast if he happens to leave Tampa Bay you know there's a guy
29:47
who can certainly put the puck in the net uh and would give you some some more offensive uh
29:54
Firepower um but I'm looking at a guy like Stevenson and then some depth on D and and then you know hopefully you fill
30:01
in a little bit with some um scoring punch on the wings uh plus you have the
30:06
young kids that you probably need to give a shot to your marav and and lels and and PES so yeah so I'm I'm going
30:13
with you know realistic they sign Swan they trade allar they let all the ufas
30:19
pretty much go um and they decide on debrusk maybe they trade his rights um
30:27
for somebody else and a one for one change of scenery type thing or they trade him for some draft pick uh assets
30:36
uh maybe I don't know but that's going to be he's gonna have to take just about
30:41
what he's been making uh in my opinion one or twoyear deal right at kind of where he's making now like he there's no
30:48
rays in his sites I don't think I mean he is kind of what he is um you know he's doing kind of what Frederick's
30:54
doing right now offensively and Frederick's making two point .3 like even four million is a stretch for
31:01
debrusk right now but um so we'll see what happens there my reach is always
31:06
been Jonathan Marshall so I mean I like the guy a lot yeah playoff performer I I
31:11
say try to go he's a little older um and he's not big he's 5'9 whatever but you
31:18
know the guy's the guy's a playoff proven playoff guy and a really good
31:23
player an under the radar player and I think he's a guy I I wouldn't mind them moving on from De Brusque and and
31:30
fitting marsho right in there he's making five now you know I don't know what it's going to cost five and a half
31:36
whatever yeah I say give it him give him a maybe I love because I he competes
31:44
every night and he produces you know and he always he hasn't always played with the best talent I mean he's played with
31:50
you know Talent now but when he first was in Vegas he wasn't playing with the greatest talent and that team went all the way to the Cup finals so
31:58
he certainly can can uh can do things on the line so I would I would love that I'd be I mean the thing you have going
32:04
for you with a guy like Stam Co is you can be in cup contention next year if
32:10
he's the kind of the guy and he bring him in and say you know you can we can win this thing come on stammer yeah play
32:18
with us like and maybe you get him just with that thought alone like you can be
32:23
a Difference Maker and we can slide coil back down to to C3
32:29
and or you can be C2 or whatever and we can we can uh give it give it a run give
32:35
it a go one last time or whatever maybe you can maybe you can sell that to him um but the the money gets goes quick it
32:43
does after swinging is at seven or whatever it is probably now you're down
32:48
to like 15 and you lost a bunch of ufas you got to fill some spots you're going
32:54
to have to go with some kids but if you want to make a real roster change in move like a Maro that's like the the the
33:01
half of the rest of it right in you're you know and you're right back to kind of squeeze in pennies so yeah uh it goes
33:09
pretty quick and that's why dubraska is such a such an interesting thing like do
33:15
you really want to do that with him again kind of is what he is and do you
33:20
wanna do you want to do that on a long-term deal I'm not sure you do I I don't like I don't like I would give him
33:26
two more years and say okay here's a two-year deal get you to about 29 years
33:32
old would you give him two times five Jesus see I don't even I don't even
33:38
love that want a raise I mean he's gonna want a raise but I I don't even love that I don't know if he deserves one
33:45
either I don't think he does I don't love it I I I think I go two two for eight yeah again and I I just don't love
33:53
that either I don't I I don't yeah I'm not I mean if if it was if it comes down
33:58
to you know marcheso you know four times you know six and a half or debras you
34:05
know two times five or or four times five or four times five and a half I'm going with marcheso I think yeah I'm
34:12
going with marcheso for five you know he's making five now so who's the better player yeah I mean maroso you'll
34:19
probably have to go six six and a half at least I would say Okay um but I would still do that
34:26
you know for another for another couple Mill a year you know even though he's
34:31
older I would probably do that I mean who are you who are your I mean if you look at your five M I'm
34:37
gonna look at the five million doll players right now out there Joel faraby
34:43
Jared mccan Ryan stro Tyler Johnson Ricard Raquel granin barashev
34:51
marsho haris senko Paul Mary Riley Smith so is he yeah Mar is better than like
34:59
90% of those guys 90% of these guys but it's de Brusque I mean he better than Drake bson
35:07
is he better than Conor Garland no Blake Coleman yes homes in that you know
35:17
485 obviously zaka olon tuck yeah coil's in there too coil's in there at five
35:24
CO's at five and change change yeah yeah so he's probably like better than half
35:30
of those guys so he's probably going to want to get into that area you know but yeah I mean two years yeah maybe I do
35:37
two for 10 you know I mean if you could if you bring him in and do two for 10
35:43
and you can still somehow get marcho now then now now you're cooking with gas
35:49
yeah you know but that's Swan maraso de Brusque that's all your money yeah that's pretty much all your
35:56
money that's 19 mil yeah if it's s75 right you and you have 22 and change
36:03
22 and a half I think so you're so you're really looking at mul and you have some rfas like you have boquist
36:09
who's an RFA and uh bus's an RFA you probably will you bringing back Heinen
36:15
yeah I mean h maybe I mean I if hinen wanted to take a a short but he's gonna want a raise because he had a he's had a
36:21
good year yeah he has yeah I mean he had to take a [ __ ] [ __ ] contract this year he's not going he's not going this time
36:28
he's gonna probably want you know Frederick money probably going to want two and change someone I would think
36:33
someone would give him two now based on this you know based on this season I
36:39
don't think that's I don't think that's a bad call so but let them is what I'm saying like yeah that's the thing it
36:45
probably be the Bruins honestly I know really tough one he's one of Monty's
36:51
guys you know yeah he does a lot of little things um and you know he chips
36:57
in is offensively right not great but he's you go in with beer do you go in
37:03
with beer brazzo Heinen next year fourth line yeah sure I love that I'd be on
37:10
that's low cost but yeah but if you could get like boquist is an RFA could could you do the same thing with Bist at
37:17
a cheaper rate right and Bist has speed and he's shown some offensive touch too
37:22
I probably would I probably would go with that route and save you know a million yeah because you're gonna have
37:28
to save a million yeah yeah I mean if you if you want to spend on some of the higher priced guys you're gonna have to
37:34
cut towards the bottom of your roster and either fill it in with low guys or lowcost you know veterans right so right
37:41
now you have Peak W spoon linol Carlo McAvoy and who lowai lowai all under
37:48
contract yep so your defense is pretty much set right depth there fine yeah so that's good it is and then with swayan
37:55
you have to get you have to trade El mark I you just have to because that allar if you keep allar you're you're
38:02
preventing yourself from getting a maraso type of guy you are you can't right you can't have them both right
38:09
like that's that's that's just too much so um so you wheel him and then then
38:14
you're filling in guys K zaka is on the contract Coy Pasto maran's one more year
38:21
so your core is kind of there you know geeky FR geeky yeah he's
38:28
yeah those guys are all under contract so yeah so yeah I mean you
38:34
can you have a guy like Patra who was here half the year you have a guy like
38:39
L who you know I guess he just got dinged up and hopefully it's not a career threatening thing but might have
38:46
had another serious concussion in Providence uh over the weekend um he was
38:51
he just hit the 50 point mark which is you know a pretty good milestone for uh Providence players merkulov I believe
38:58
has 58 points and is third or fourth in the league in scoring I believe he is
39:03
yeah so he's had a great year that's another guy that you know is he someone you you know you give a a spot to or you
39:11
know you you're hopeful maybe that he wins a spot so it'll be interesting to
39:18
see how that all kind of shakes out you know are there guys there you know obviously jvr is gone so there's
39:23
probably a um you know an opening there um some guys that they can plug in I
39:29
would rather see them plug it in with higher end Talent um but I mean I guess you have to see at some point what you
39:35
have in the younger guys right so if you don't if so if you don't if you deal de
39:41
Brusque then you can come you can come in with like a maraso type of player if
39:46
you don't I don't know if you really can or if you have room probably prevent you
39:52
from you know lysel or merula getting a shot probably right because then you
39:58
keep them down again and marov needs to have one LEL maybe he can start down there but
40:05
mulab in my opinion needs to there's not much more he can do there it's time for him to come up here and figure it out
40:11
yeah you know and I don't think he's a fourth line Center either not like he's gonna come up and play top six or at
40:17
least top but give him an honest shot you know top nine like right yeah you
40:23
know he's got to play with you know and not six minutes and either well that's the other thing right
40:31
he's got to play with some offensive you know some offensive Talent whether that's you know he starts on the third
40:36
line and occasionally he'll cycle through and and get a shi or two or three during a game depending on how
40:42
he's doing with you know the likes of panak or Maran or somebody like that coil um so you know we can see what he
40:49
can do with those type of players you know that that probably needs to happen yeah 100% and then uh trip seven the
40:57
Bruins have until June 1st to sign Goldie Prospect Reed dick or lose him as a UFA and August 15th to sign Quinn
41:04
Olsen or lose his rights as well I would think they sign dick and lose Olsen what
41:11
is your thought yeah keep the dick and lose and lose and lose olon that's that's where
41:18
I'm at too uh I think you can never have too many goalies in your system the brones do a good job develop developing
41:25
them so if they can have you know a guy like dick in the system and and whether
41:31
it's you know he comes up and plays for Providence or you know makes it to the Bruins eventually or they use him as a
41:37
trade chip um you know that's something that they should definitely consider and
41:42
then Olen you know he's been fine in college but he hasn't really done anything that you know um sets the world
41:50
on fire so I think losing his rights wouldn't be um you know any huge loss
41:55
especially if they're going after the you know the likes of quillin um at Quinn ofak too you know there's a guy
42:02
that kind of could take his spot yeah I mean um and the thing about Reed dick as
42:08
well is that he has really progressed since they drafted him like he's had his
42:14
best year he's a second team Allstar uh in the WHL with Swift Current
42:21
this year and he was a little banged up so he he may have been first team like he's had a really good year for them he
42:28
was a project to begin with his numbers were kind of skewed he was on bad teams he was also very raw but he's really
42:34
learned the position he's big he's athletic like he's he's becoming a really good Prospect and you're losing
42:41
probably Kyle Kaiser and lenus alark at least and then you have busy that you
42:47
have to sign so you have swayan that you have to sign so swayman
42:52
busy uh D petro and then dick and I don't know what's happening with fedback
42:58
with the Providence College Friar so if he goes back a junior year or if he if
43:04
he signs his ELC so I think you're right you want to have depth in your goal tending and I think they keep dick but I
43:12
but the thing about olssen is um Olson had a decent year this year but he was
43:18
kind of down he's 22 years old he'll be 23 in May so he's an older Prospect he's
43:25
played Five Seasons at Minnesota duth he had just four goals I know yeah I mean
43:30
he has he's not he's not he's had 73 six7 and four goals and he's a you know
43:38
he's a center he's a yeah he's a offensive player so this is not a lot no
43:44
he hasn't done anything really like I said hasn't done really anything to light the world on fire so I I'm I think
43:49
I'm fine with him you know with them letting him you know walk and and yeah
43:55
focusing more on dick and like you said if get the kid from quinap Pak yeah then that he slots in as a better Prospect

45:08
all right the beauty this week for the Bruins is David panak this will teach
45:16
those filthy bastards who's lovable pasta gets his 100th point he now has
45:21
101 as he assisted on the gamewinner from zaka last night 45 goals 56 assists
45:28
for 101 points last season he had 113 points so he's 12 points away with nine
45:35
games to play he's played every game he's played 20 minutes per game and he gets a lot of grief for the type of
45:42
player he is and so forth but I mean he does at 20 minutes per game as a forward
45:48
and to play every single game last year in know every single game this year is
45:54
pretty impressive for his type of player it really is uh yeah his type of
46:00
player he's more physical um this year than he has been in the past I feel like
46:07
and it's not all the time so you know don't pretend like I'm saying he's out there banging bodies all the time but he
46:13
will lay some hits and surprise some people for sure he had a reverse hit on Keith
46:19
chuk not Keith he felt it I swear to God um yeah
46:26
on Chuck last night that um that set up mako's goal um so and he didn't get an
46:32
assist on the play but that was really the the start of the play uh you know he kind of shielded the puck and got the
46:39
puck back to grizzli who got it over to makoy for the goal so I mean to zaka then to grizzli then for the goal so um
46:46
yeah I mean he's he's kind of growing his game you know every year and still
46:54
producing the type of numbers that you would want to see from your star player and um you know I I I feel like he's
47:01
kind of growing into a leadership role and and uh you know he's still going to give you the bad turnovers because he's
47:07
a creative player and that's what happens when guys are creative they're going to try things that normal hockey
47:13
players normal people wouldn't try and occasionally he's going to fail and that's going to look terrible um but
47:19
then when he does the right things and the park goes in or he makes a move and it goes in you're wowed and you're like
47:26
oh my God I can't believe he did that and I can't believe it worked so you know for some of that stuff you got to
47:31
take the good with the bad but there's been much much much more good than bad
47:36
with him do you know how many hits he had last season I don't
47:42
91 [ __ ] really season he has 60 this year he had 91 last season 91 in this
47:49
season he has the mo the highest defensive Zone starts at 32% than he's
47:55
had since 20 21 when he had 33% so his dzone starts are higher um than they
48:03
were last year and he's you know he's like you said he's he's much more physical than people give him credit for
48:10
because you see the Flash and the and the Gil of Flora type of thing which he really is like a modern day Gil of Flora
48:17
type player and people just don't give him that credit and he needs he needs a
48:22
foreign player and there's some of that biased with B you know the Bru have Bruins fans have that bias they have
48:29
that bias with cree and Ras and you know they you just don't they just don't consider those players is tough and so
48:36
forth which is bogus sometimes you know it just is what it is but he just doesn't um you know he just I mean he's
48:43
playing 20 minutes a game and he's playing every single game for two straight years like yeah my goodness like he's not he's not just sitting out
48:51
games and faking injuries and and and avoiding contact and all that stuff I
48:57
mean he really puts it out there you know and he's a he's a really good player and a player that you would
49:02
absolutely Miss if he was gone oh hely miss I mean 100 perc I mean he's gonna go down as one of the top three four
49:10
players in Bruin's history he yeah he's gonna go down as one of the top three or
49:15
four players he gonna be up there with buck and or and bour and then you start
49:20
talking about neie and posano and he's probably gonna pass neie yeah and B from longevity alone sure I mean he'll
49:28
probably he'll probably end up the second highest goal scorer in Bruins history behind es history yeah
49:36
he's up the [ __ ] charts already he's like eth already that's right yeah you
49:41
know's he's only 27 or something like just coming into God if he played till
49:48
he's 37 that's 10 more seasons and if you scored 30 goals that's 300 goals
49:53
yeah you know that's that's crazy he's up to 800 goals or so like he's approaching like
50:00
oetkin like yeah I mean God Almighty he has a puts together a few more 45 50
50:06
goal Seasons you know there then let's talk about that thing yeah then you got some things to talk about sure you do
50:13
sure you do and that's that's that's great for the old podcast isn't it it is we'll keep talking about that till
50:19
Kingdom Come yeah let's see who goes longer David P's career or our career
50:24
let's see I think I think's got is getting past's got a head start yeah I'm G to retire and stop playing golf
50:31
sooner rather than later I think and the Bender uh this week is
50:38
Andrew birkar H Bender uh for those of you who don't know who this is he is a
50:44
writer uh who covers Montreal Canadians for Montreal hockey now uh and he had a
50:51
absolutely wild uh take on uh Zack Heyman uh basically saying that the
50:59
reason that he scored 50 goals was because uh he was rich and born on third
51:04
base essentially he had all the advantages growing up his parents bought a hockey league for him and his him and
51:10
his siblings to uh play in uh he got the best trainers uh NHL caliber training um
51:17
from when he was a little kid um uh so it's all about the advantages and has
51:23
nothing to do with the hard work um that Heyman puts in or has put in uh to score
51:29
over 50 goals at 31 years of age he's playing with some great players too uh and that was brought up by Mr Burk here
51:37
uh saying that uh he was lucky that he was playing with the likes of Austin Matthews and Conor McDavid the Conor
51:44
McDavid thing I'm gonna give him credit for because he was a free agent and he said where can I go uh and make some
51:52
decent money and and play with some great players so he sought out at Minon and said I want to play with Conor
51:58
McDavid that's a smart guy in my opinion if if if your bread and butter is
52:04
scoring goals at the netfront and you can have Conor McDavid rushing the puck up ice or Leon dry title or you know
52:10
that power play uh and then feeding you pucks at the doorstep that is brilliant
52:16
that is not lucky that is excellent job by him and his management team and his
52:21
agent to get him in a situation where he can take advantage of what he does best
52:26
sure uh and I don't care if you were had a million dollars or 50 bucks or 20
52:33
bucks um you have to put in a tremendous amount of work to make it to
52:40
the NHL level and I don't care if it was silver spoon or rusty spoon um who cares
52:47
yeah you have to put in an insane amount of work to get to that level and and
52:53
perform that way and he goes where you get punished so it's not like here's some little rich guy that's you know
52:59
sitting out on The Fringe and flipping shots in from the left wing boards he is at the netfront like 75% of his goals
53:07
are scored basically in the paint so he's going where you get punished to score goals but he still goes there and
53:15
he still scores them and is that you know lucky is that being rich I think that's uh you know for you know
53:22
fortitude it's like you know I'm going to do what it takes to score a goal uh and maybe I'm going to take a cross
53:29
check for it but he's still going into those areas and scoring so I I I just I
53:35
I can't believe that somebody would come out and say oh you know the only reason that he that he's done this is is
53:41
because of you know his his uh you know monetary advances you know or or stature
53:48
uh over other people just bothers my mind yeah I I think Andrew needs to check his Heyman at the door because I
53:55
you know here's the thing about himman and you said it yourself you said it
54:02
yourself is that you were afraid of like ryant Nan Hopkins and guys that play
54:08
with great Elite Talent because they they do have inflated numbers and you can make that argument I'll I'll debate
54:13
that with you and it's a it's a fair debate fine but the whole silver Spooner thing just coming at a weird angle on it
54:20
like yeah that that's I mean zackheim is a good hockey player he's he's been a good hockey player and I'm sure he goes
54:26
somewhere else and and do fine like would he score 50 goals or or be out of his mind probably not but he scored 30
54:34
probably like he's a good player like so so yeah we've had that discussion about
54:39
getting players off of you know playing against Talent he's play with two of the best players in the world maybe the two
54:44
best players in the world so he's he's you know he's fortunate for sure but I don't think it's lucky like you said
54:50
because he picked he picked his spot and it was Savvy smart move for his career he's got to make a lot of money because
54:56
of it so good move um but this was uh this was weird and it's one of those you
55:02
know I'm going to I'm going to say weird stuff on social media so people will click and follow and viral and and like
55:09
Vince McMahon said no no such thing as bad publicity yeah so everybody's talking about him all these people are
55:16
liking his stuff and and and retweeting it and all this stuff great like good
55:21
for you I mean but the whole thing like pretending like you're some kind of a Robin Hood like we got a sh the light on
55:27
all these rich people that you know are controlling the sport and the poor people some conspiracy the poor people
55:33
can't get into the sport and yes hockey is expensive it is it's an expensive
55:38
sport my had this discussion about golf for years yeah I mean and and formula one like everything like sports are
55:46
expensive H but at the same time if a if a less fortunate kid is playing and he's
55:52
really really good the scouts the people that matter will find you they will yes
55:59
if you're a really really good player it doesn't matter what team you're playing on it doesn't matter if you're playing aou or whatever they will find you if
56:06
you're a really really good player so um you know that's still how things work
56:12
they'll find the good players um Word of Mouth whatever it is um so it's not like
56:19
oh just because you have all this money that automatically you know gets you a
56:24
D1 scholarship or gets you playing playing you know minor league hockey in Canada or get you to the NHL it doesn't
56:30
work that way there's plenty of rich people who have played hockey that haven't made it plenty of poor people that have played hockey that have made
56:36
it so um yeah you know that's that's really not um what it comes down to it
56:43
comes down to the dedication and the hard work and the hours that the athletes put in that's what it comes
56:48
down to in the end in my opinion anyway yeah I mean I I it it was a weird
56:53
take and there was some things about it like that he was saying that I agree with like you can't be anything you want
56:59
to be and stuff like that I've said that for years like there's stuff like that I agreed with in this take but that whole
57:05
you know elitist thing is conspiracy was kind of weird um and like you said like
57:12
himman and Newen Hopkins and Rob Brown and guys who have had it Kevin Stevens
57:19
who have had inflated numbers because they're playing with great players sure what do you want them not to score goals
57:24
when they're playing with McDavid pass it pass it back like I don't I don't know so um weird take uh we'll see what
57:32
happens with Andrew good old Andrew um all right Centennial season
57:38
Spotlight Let's Start the Fire Burning with some tuar rasque oh yeah two 's two
57:43
k two points two points brother I mean Tuka should be in the Hall of Fame in my
57:51
opinion um his numbers are just off the charts he's the best goalie that the
57:57
Bruins have ever had yeah you know if you talk about raw talent you talk about
58:03
performance you know he's his numbers are so much better than chers you know they're they're close to Thomas like
58:10
that can be a debate and Thomas won the thing so that's you know where the debate is but he's still a more talented
58:16
gifted player than Thomas was um he just got a bad rap for kind of his his
58:24
personality r people the wrong way at times and said things bluntly that
58:30
people didn't love sometimes and then the whole thing with the playoffs leaving the team and that whole thing so
58:39
there are some black marks I guess against him but I think he's the best goalie they've ever had I agree I think
58:46
he is the best goalie they've ever had too and you know I love chevers I was a ch's guy and and Thomas will all hold a
58:53
special place in my heart for winning that cup and uh you know being con Smite
58:58
and all that so um but Tuka when you do look at the numbers and the sa
59:03
percentage and goals against and all that stuff he's right up there with with some of the great greatest ever uh so he
59:09
does belong in the Hall of Fame and in my opinion he probably should you know I mean I think he probably will at some
59:16
point have his number in the ra at at the TD Garden he should I mean he should be the first first goalie up there yeah
59:23
think so I think it'll it'll throw people in a fizzy hisy fit over a and stuff and Thomas but he should be up
59:29
there his his in his career a 228 goes against and a 921 save percentage for
59:36
his career like yeah for his in and in the play in the
59:41
playoffs 222 925 so he's even better in the playoffs
59:47
that's what you're saying better huh better because that there's a narrative out there that that's not the case no
59:53
better yeah 308 wins in his career 165 losses like the guy was outstanding for
1:00:02
many I mean he had years where he was 188 199
1:00:08
202 like he just he's just uh tremendous golender and um he's one of those guys
1:00:16
you're gonna romanticize about later on be like wow he was he was awesome and
1:00:21
the more shitty goal tenders come through you know be like oh remember Ras Ras was like like dynamite he he he'd
1:00:27
win games he'd steal games he he he completely he completely shut down the
1:00:33
Penguins when they were good in the playoffs that series when the Bruins them ridiculous like it was ridiculous
1:00:40
like they could not score against them with Crosby and malr in their Prime yeah
1:00:46
he was in their head by the end of that series no doubt about it I mean that's a playoff series like for God's sakes I
1:00:52
mean Chicago was better than they were and they blew the game late I get it you know and then game seven you know they
1:00:59
didn't score they didn't score like they couldn't score they they they they dominated play for the first 10 minutes
1:01:05
Johansson has a a shot right in front like he has a golden chance in front doesn't score you know I mean so then he
1:01:13
takes the WRA for that too yeah but I mean that's part of being bully is you're gonna get you're gonna get all
1:01:19
the hate you know when when there's a series of plays that that leads to you
1:01:24
know whatever happens you know when a goal goes in yeah there's some bad ones there's some soft ones from time to time
1:01:29
but nine times out of 10 it's not the goalie's fault it's someone else's fault but the goalie still takes the blame
1:01:35
right and I and I really think the thing about Ras I think there were times where he'd kind of let a goal in just to prove
1:01:42
a point sometimes like there were times like he wouldn't make a little bit of an extra effort to be like our defense is
1:01:48
hemmed in that [ __ ] made a terrible play all right goal you know I I I just
1:01:54
believe that in my mind that would be if he came out he came out now and he was just like oh can you can
1:02:01
you believe some of the [ __ ] plays I in front of me yeah oh my
1:02:07
God you know skating up ice throws a hit falls down a guy comes in on a two on0
1:02:12
I'm letting that go in [ __ ] was right to his knees and just fire away fellas yeah
1:02:18
oh I need some I need some uh you know what Centennial spotlights on that I need a tarasque podcast can we get him
1:02:26
on the podcast yeah let's get him on the podcast great let's just be candid with Tuka rasque T give me some stories about
1:02:34
back in the day did you let some goals on purp who was who was your least least favorite teammate who what teammate what
1:02:40
defenseman did you thought really nuts how many how many shots went in off off
1:02:45
defense when you were like what the [ __ ] is wrong with you you get out [ __ ] you aren't me
1:02:55
you know stopy save Puck here let me let me do my job get out the [ __ ] way stop having to go off your [ __ ] shin
1:03:02
pads oh beautiful all right Providence Bruins beauty of the week hey how about Michael
1:03:09
Callahan remember him like Michael he he he has played 61 games as a
1:03:17
defenseman he has four goals and 11 assists he was a 2018 fifth round pick of the Arizona Coyotes uh coyotes chose
1:03:26
to trade him to Boston uh and here's what Robert schmer our buddy had to say
1:03:32
uh who handles the scouts a lot of the prospects Mike Callahan is having a nice
1:03:37
season with Providence and it won't go unnoticed great leadership works hard keeps the game steady definitely needs a
1:03:44
little work to his defensive game but when you watch him he keeps it simple definitely going to work hard and Camp
1:03:50
next season for a spot and a good maybe a spot to be a depth defenseman next
1:03:55
year there you go maybe there's your seventh D yeah in Boston next year because he's
1:04:01
because he's a big kid um I don't know how physical he is hopefully he plays
1:04:06
with some snarl I don't know that right uh I haven't watched enough of him to know if he has that in him but um those
1:04:15
are the kind of guys that they need to start bringing in guys like Peak that
1:04:20
are big you know long stick physical you know tough to play against that's they
1:04:26
need more of that and you know they also need to be able to play hockey and pass [ __ ] out of their own zone so and he is
1:04:32
an RFA with arbitration rights I don't I don't think he'll get to arbitration so maybe they sign him to a one-year deal
1:04:39
or something and keep him in the system especially if he's been playing well and they want a low you know low Lisk High
1:04:45
reward kind of depth guy for next year yeah or they to a little bit more money and then give him a two-way um right you
1:04:53
know and then he can you know throw his game still at Providence and they'll
1:04:58
bring them up if they need them for you know injury sake or emergencies right so
1:05:04
uh you can follow Robert Chalmer on X at Ivan Ivan Ivan uh he does a lot of great
1:05:11
Prospect stuff yeah he's shows a lot of Clips yeah good he's a he's a great resource he's uh a guy we've had on the
1:05:18
Pod he's he's uh tremendous knows a lot about uh minor leag hockey and uh the
1:05:25
college game as well so um you should definitely shoot him a follow and the uh Prospect Spotlight
1:05:34
this H week Andre gaso from the Boston College Eagles he was a draft pick of
1:05:42
your Boston Bruins back in 2021 a a seventh rounder at two at pick 213
1:05:50
64205 played on a loaded BC team that's in the N NCA tournament they won Hockey
1:05:57
East uh they won uh the um yeah they won H they won Hockey East tournament and
1:06:03
they are number one team of the country yes and they are playing Michigan Tech I believe tomorrow and um gaso had you
1:06:11
know a pretty good year had 11 goals 17 assists for 28 points and 36 games similar to last year we had 29 Points so
1:06:18
a a consistently good year for gaso playing with Oscar xelic another
1:06:24
Prospect for the Bruins in a loaded team like we said like Grace there's five or six like first round
1:06:31
picks on that team cut Will Smith and um Ryan Leonard
1:06:38
Ryan Leonard are playing per like [ __ ] yeah they they're
1:06:44
loaded um but yeah he uh he's had a good year for them and maybe he's a low
1:06:50
rounder that uh that they can get something out of he's played at a high
1:06:55
Level Playing with the number one team in the country this is a sophomore year I would assume he'd play again next year
1:07:02
there and then maybe decide on ELC after that we'll see yeah I would say he they
1:07:09
might give him another year or maybe he'll come out um you know if Boston College wins uh wins the title he may
1:07:17
come out um they're gonna lose but you know then again he yeah they're GNA lose
1:07:23
all those freshman kid because freshman kids because they've been drafted and and so forth so maybe he gets a little
1:07:28
bit more of an opportunity next year to you know a little more ice time and you know a little more power play time and
1:07:34
so forth so maybe that's you know an enticement for him to go back but uh yeah we'll see hopefully you know he
1:07:40
blossoms into you know a good Prospect he's a big kid so you know hopefully that works out
1:07:47
for him and the Bruins because the Bruins like we've said consistently they could certainly use some of those late
1:07:54
round picks to hit because of the their lack of uh of depth in the farm system
1:07:59
and jelic is a sophomore as well he had 37 points and 37 games 25 assists had an
1:08:06
excellent year for BC and he's another guy does he he come out he's probably
1:08:11
more likely I think to come out but we'll see on those two guys and again playing at a high level producing number
1:08:19
one team in the country I mean it can't can't be a bad thing I it can't cannot be a bad thing no um we're we week ahead
1:08:25
for Boston tonight it'll be the Tampa Bay Lightning in Tampa second night of it back to back and then uh on the 30th
1:08:33
at Washington a team fighting for playoff position and then on April 2nd
1:08:39
at Nashville one of the hottest teams in the league yeah lately so this is a tough little stretch right here it is uh
1:08:46
tonight they have a chance to clinch uh playoff spot with the point against Tampa and then Washington potentially
1:08:52
could be a a first round playoff matchup depending on how the how the standings fall so that could be uh you know a
1:08:59
couple of teams looking to send messages to each other on that one uh and hopefully Tom Wilson stays away from our
1:09:07
fragile defenseman hopefully he does might be
1:09:12
time to might be a good night to sit Charlie M boy put some put some guys in bubble wrap before that game yeah I mean
1:09:19
Washington's been uh a team that I I just thought wasn't very good beginning
1:09:24
year off yeah I mean they are they have 81
1:09:30
points they're a point behind the Flyers they're 36 26 and nine it's they don't
1:09:36
score a ton of goals they don't even have 200 goals yet and they're a minus 26 differential but somehow some way
1:09:44
they're hanging in the the thing yeah I mean oetkin seemed seems to
1:09:50
have uh you know he had a lull there for a bit um but lately he seemed to have been uh produc producing more um and
1:09:57
then they have some you know they have some good talent you know TJ oshi's been hurt and in and out of the lineup and
1:10:03
you know they've had injuries with Backstrom and ketov and you know a bunch
1:10:08
of guys so um you know if they if they're all back and healthy and
1:10:14
producing you know they have some Talent there right Tampa Bay is the first wild
1:10:19
card at 85 points um Washington is the second wild card at 81 but only one point behind
1:10:26
Philadelphia in the Metro so they're two points ahead of Detroit in the Wild Card
1:10:31
who has 79 and then you have Jersey at 76 Islands a 75 so it's coming down to
1:10:37
really Washington Detroit uh in that thing and then Nashville is the number one wild card in
1:10:42
the west at 90 points in Vegas has 86 points as the second wild card there six
1:10:49
points ahead of St Louis so they're probably going to make it but boy they were close to not being in it yeah which
1:10:54
is interesting they had some injuries I mean iel and stone were out for quite some time they still have like 20 21
1:11:01
million in change on long-term IR right now I think I mean so they've been
1:11:08
decimated by injuries but they're also you know like you said playing that game so they were afford to able to bring in
1:11:14
some guys you know like hanifen to uh kind of supplement their team there and
1:11:20
if they're back and healthy come playoff time you know look out absolutely I mean
1:11:25
absolutely look out I mean that's a team that you don't want to play as the fraking second wild card no uh at all I
1:11:33
mean that's that's a that's a tough one all right go to insid the rank.com and you'll find Bruins Bender merchandise
