Indy Fuel Bring Back Matus Spodniak

The Indy Fuel have announced that they have re-signed forward Matus Spodniak for the 2023-24 season. “There’s no better place to start my professional career than with a team as dominant as Indy. Between the organization and the fans, there’s no better place in the league said Spodniak in the team’s press release. Spodniak rejoins the Fuel after he played four games with the club at the end of the season. He found the back of the net in his first career ECHL game. Prior to joining the Fuel, Spondiak spent two seasons at Adrian College, where he picked up 46 goals and 48 assists for 94 points in 60 games. In his final season with the Bulldogs, he would rack up 29 goals and 28 assists for 57 points and would end up being named the Divison III Player of the Year. The Bulldogs would make it all the way to the National Championship, and trailing by one with five and a half minutes left, Spondniak would tie the game for the Bulldogs, however, they would go on to lose in OT. Spodniak is the second signing for the Fuel after Trevor Zins was announced last Thursday.
