Jaromir Jagr Suits Up For 35th Professional Season

There will be a day when Jaromir Jagr eventually retires from professional hockey. However, today is not that day. The fifth overall draft selection in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft took to his social media to announce that he would be suiting up for Rytiri Kladno in Czechia. Jagr owns Rytiri Kladno and has been playing with the group since the 2017-18 season. Jagr last played in the National Hockey League with the Calgary Flames in the 2017-18 season.

While Jagr has been posting an impressive stat line with his team, he has acknowledged the fact that he doesn’t have too much time left to play. While Jagr has been playing professional hockey since he was 15 years old, Jagr was quick to mention that he is only committing to this season and will reconsider his playing career at the end of the season. However, Jaromir Jagr will definitely stay involved as the team’s owner and look to bring in more draws as his eventual retirement is nearing.

Jagr has posted close to 0.6 points per game, even as he enters his 50s, which is incredibly impressive, considering he’s still so dominant. Jagr’s ability to play a high level of competitive hockey at such an advanced age has impressed many fans. This factor will also certainly draw in fans from all over as the chance to see Jaromir Jagr play is slowly winding down.
