Los Angeles Kings Sign Cam Talbot

The LA Kings have signed goaltender Cam Talbot to a one-year deal, the financials of the deal have not yet been disclosed. Talbot joins his sixth NHL team over the course of his 10-year playing career. This is a strong move for the Kings, who were one of the teams who were certainly in search of a goalie after they traded away Jonathan Quick to the Columbus Blue Jackets, who then flipped him to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Talbot is coming off a three-year deal with the Minnesota Wild, who traded him to the Ottawa Senators last Summer. There is no doubt that Talbot will have a golden chance to earn back his position as a starter with the Kings, who made a splash already this Summer as they acquired Pierre-Luc Dubois. Over the course of his ten-year career, Talbot has spent time with the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, and Ottawa Senators. The 35-year-old goaltender was named to the All-Star Game 2022. He has a career record of 218-156-36 with a 2.65 GAA, .914 SV%, and 28 shutouts, last season, he went 17-14-2 with a 2.93 GAA, .898 SV%, and one shutout. He also has 33 games of Stanley Cup Playoff experience under his belt.
