Nashville Predators make another trade

The Nashville Predators continue to be active today having acquired Anthony Beauvillier from the Chicago Blackhawks then they claimed Jaret Anderson-Dolan off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings. Now they’ve completed another trade as they have sent forward Yakov Trenin and prospect Graham Sward to the Colorado Avalanche for prospect Jeremy Hanzel and a 2025 third-round pick.

Predators Trade By The Numbers

Yakov Trenin

Trenin was drafted by the Predators with the 55th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He played his first game on October 19, 2019, and he recorded his first point on a goal in his very next game. He has played 283 games for the Predators recording 79 points on 46 goals and 33 assists. This season he has played in 60 games recording 14 points on ten goals and four assists. He had most recently played left wing on the second line skating with Colton Sissons and Cody Glass.

Graham Sward

Sward was drafted by the Predators with the 146th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He is currently playing with the Wenatchee Wild in the Western Hockey League, he is in his first season with the team having played in 58 games recording 73 points on 15 goals and 58 assists. He is in his sixth season playing in the WHL having played with the Spokane Chiefs, and Winnipeg Ice.

Jeremy Hanzel

Hanzel was drafted with the 187th overall picked in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. He like Sward is also playing in the Western Hockey League with the Seattle Thunderbirds, he has played in 58 games and he has recorded 50 points on 13 goals and 37 assists. He is in his fourth season with the Thunderbirds and his fourth season in the WHL.
