New Jersey Devils Place Tomas Nosek On IR

The New Jersey Devils have placed forward Tomas Nosek on IR with a lower-body injury retroactive to October 13th, and he has missed the last two games for the Devils. Nosek, who signed a one-year deal with the Devils back in July, has played two games for the Devils this season but has not found the scoresheet. Nosek, a nine-year veteran in the NHL, has spent time with the Detroit Red Wings, Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins, and now the New Jersey Devils. In 400 NHL games, he has put up 42 goals and 59 assists for 101 points. Nosek isn’t the only Devil who is battling injuries, as Devils Head Coach Lindy Ruff announced that defenceman Colin Miller will be out for “a little bit of time, but we don’t know how long yet,” as he was injured in practice last week, Miller has yet to play a game for the Devils this season. Miller has 35 goals and 122 assists for 157 points in 466 career NHL games.

As the injuries begin to pile up for the Devils, they announced that they have recalled defenceman Cal Foote from the Utica Comets. Foote signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Devils back in August. The 6’4 defenceman has played in three games this season with the Comets, with his only points coming on opening night vs Syracuse Crunch, where he picked up a goal and an assist. Foote has five goals and 14 assists for 19 points in 141 career NHL games.
