The New Jersey Devils have signed Isaac Poulter to a two-year entry-level deal worth $812,500, which begins this season. Poulter began his pro career with the New Jersey Devils ECHL Affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder during last year, playing in 22 games while putting up a 10-8-2 record with a 2.93 GAA,  910SV%, and one shutout. He also played in 13 games with the Comets that season, going 7-3-3 with a 3.61 GAA and sub .900SV%.

This season, Poulter has emerged as the top goalie for the Comets as he has a 14-6-1 record with a 2.68 GAA and .909 SV%, along with three shutouts. New Jersey has continued to develop their goaltending pipeline with guys like Akira Schmid, Nico Daws, and now Isaac Poulter. It would not be a shock to see the Devils give Poulter a shot up in the NHL to see what all their goalies can do at the NHL level before going out and making a splash for a trade. If New Jersey does end up bringing in a goalie via trade, one would have to think that one has to be heading out of New Jersey.
