Anaheim Ducks News & Notes:

Anaheim is struggling offensively this season; they’re currently 30th in goals for and 31st in power play percentage. While their roster is packed with young talent, no one seems to be blossoming into the bonafide superstar via points production. It will be interesting

Utah Hockey Club News & Notes:

Juuso Valimaki is expected to miss 8-9 months after having surgery to repair his ACL. Another tough injury blow to this Utah roster clammering for the playoff hunt. While they’re three points out of a Wild Card position, they’ve lost the last two games. Luckily, they picked up the overtime loser point against Toronto. Utah is in a desperate push for wins and should capitalize against a ‘weaker’ Ducks team.

Former Masterton Trophy nominee Connor Ingram has entered the NHL/NHLPA Players Assistance Program and will be out indefinitely.

Players To Watch:

Anaheim Ducks

Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 48 points this season; 17 goals and 31 points. Lukas Dostal has taken over the pipes from John Gibson and is showing he is the long-term answer in the net. Could John Gibson finally be seeing himself out of Anaheim this offseason?

Utah Hockey Club

Clayton Keller has a new career high in assists with 50. He also leads the team in goals and points. Mikhail Sergachev is seeing an increase in goal production this year in Utah; an expanded role has helped him blossom. If the team adds talent to the core, he could see a surge in point production next season.
