Players To Watch:

Chicago Blackhawks

Connor Bedard leads the Blackhawks in points with 14 goals and 30 assists in 50 games. Bedard scored a highlight reel goal in the victory over Tampa on Tuesday with a short-side snipe into the top corner with tremendous accuracy. If Chicago hopes to turn their fortunes around they’re going to have to surround Bedard with more options to help him carry some of the offensive burden.

Carolina Hurricanes

Mikko Rantanen picked up his first point for Carolina in the team’s most recent victory. Rantanen has 8 shots and is a +2 through two games with the Hurricanes. The production will come as he’s getting plenty of scoring chances playing with fellow Fin, Sebastian Aho. The pair will be Alternate Captains during the 4 Nations Faceoff in February, with Stanley Cup Champion Aleksander Barkov fulfilling the role of Captain.
