New Jersey is in the final leg of a 3-game Western Canada road trip and has gone 1-1-0 with tonight’s game against Edmonton as the final test. New Jersey is 4-3-0 on the road this season and would like to go home with a winning record on the trip.
Edmonton Oilers News & Notes:
Edmonton returns home with a 3-1-0 record on their 4-game road trip. Edmonton avenged their loss earlier in the season to the Flames in the first “Battle of Alberta” of the season with a 4-2 win in Calgary without star forward Connor McDavid who will be sidelined for a few more weeks.

Players To Watch:
New Jersey Devils
Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt have been producing for the New Jersey Devils but their defensive play has been lacking. Hughes and Bratt are a combined -8 on the season. If New Jersey wants to live up to their Stanley Cup Contender label these two dynamic players need to improve their defensive zone details.
Edmonton Oilers
In the absence of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl has taken over. Draisaitl is arguably one of the three or four best players in the game and he’s proved it. The 29-year-old German has 6 points (3g, 3a) in the 2 games (both wins) since McDavid got hurt. Draisaitl is proving that the Oilers are not a one-man team.
