Erik Karlsson extended his point streak to seven games with an assist in the Penguins’ 5-3 loss to the Rangers on Sunday afternoon. The 34-year-old Swedish defenseman has returned from the 4 Nations Tournament (where he had a point in every game) and picked up where he left off with points in both games since his return. Karlsson leads all Penguins’ defensemen with 40 points (6g, 34a) on the season.

Owen Tippett returned after missing five games due to injury and scored twice in the Flyers 6-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Tippett is third on the Flyers with 32 points (16g, 16a) in 53 games played.
