Florida Panthers Notes:

The Panthers have dominated the series so far in shot attempts (160-88). In the first two games, Florida has peppered Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman with 33 and 39 shots on net respectively. In Game 1, Swayman was up to the challenge, but in a decisive 6-1 win in Game 2, the Panthers broke through for six goals in the last two periods.

Boston Bruins Notes:

The Bruins will need to generate more offense if they are to beat the favored Panthers. Boston accumulated just 15 shots on goal in Game 2 and went 23 minutes of game time without a shot at one point. Puck possession and offensive zone time will need to increase for Boston as the series moves on to TD Garden.

Players To Watch:

Florida Panthers:

Sam Bennett could return Friday night after missing two weeks with a hand jury. The second-line center scored 20 goals during the regular with 100 penalty minutes and will provide another weapon for an already potent Florida offense.

Boston Bruins:

Jeremy Swayman allowed more than three goals for the first time this postseason. The soon-to-be restricted free agent has been as dominant as any goaltender in the Stanley Cup playoffs after supplanting Linus Ullmark as the starter in Game 2 of the first round. A decision has yet to be made on Friday night’s starter, but all signs point to Swayman getting the start after being pulled in Game 2 on Wednesday night.
