WORCESTER, Mass.- On Saturday evening, the Worcester Railers faced off against the Cincinnati Cyclones in a game celebrating First Responders from the community of Worcester, and Central Massachusetts. All of the fans, and those honored, were sent home with a dramatic 4-2 win by the Railers in regulation.

The Railers started off quickly with the first goal of the game by newly acquired Todd Goehring, at 7:12 of the first period. Zach White of the Railers would push the lead to 2-0 just minutes later at 9:21, ending the scoring in the first period.

In the second period, Blade Jenkins would give Worcester a 3-0 cushion, his goal coming at 11:32, the only goal of the second period.

During the third period, the visiting Cyclones would score the next two goals, Ole Julian Bjorgvik-Holm at 10:31, and Matej Pekar at 12:45, making it a one-goal game with 7:15 left to play in regulation. The Cyclones pulled their goalie Olof Lindbom with just over a minute to play, trying to get the game-tying goal, but Worcester’s Brendan Robbins would put the game out of reach with a 200′ foot shot, capturing the win for the Railers 4-2.

The three stars of the game were : First star- Tristan Lennox- WOR. Second star- Blade Jenkins- WOR. Third star- Matej Pekar- CIN.
