SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Saturday night, the San Diego Gulls donned Mexican heritage-themed sweaters as they faced off with the Colorado Eagles. The Eagles arrived in San Diego on a six-game winning streak, while the Gulls lost the first game of February the night prior. San Diego skated away with a 2-1 win over Colorado. 

At the 4:10 mark of the first period, the Gulls drew first blood with a goal from Chase De Leo (7), assisted by Glenn Gawdin and Trevor Carrick. Andrew Agozzino (10), with the assist from Pavol Regenda and Chase De Leo, made it a 2-0 lead for the Gulls at 16:40.
In the second period, Dalton Smith (1) put the Eagles on the board. Jack Ahcan and Spencer Smallman assisted in the goal. The Gulls boasted 31 saves on 32 shots while the Eagles ended the night with 23 saves on 25 shots. Both teams accumulated 42 PIM each.
