WORCESTER, Mass.- Saturday evening, the Worcester Railers hosted the Maine Mariners, for the first of the final two home regular season games for the Railers at the DCU Center in Worcester. Coming off a 6-2 loss the night before in Maine, the Railers bounced back with a resounding 8-2 victory over the Mariners, with goals by seven different players, including two from Blade Jenkins. The evening was filled with Fan friendly appreciation gifts, events, and recognitions, including shirts off the back auction. The Worcester Junior Railers Club Championship team was on hand for a Ceremonial puck drop.

As for the game, Maine would start the scoring in the first period on a goal from Christian Sarlo. Ashton Calder would even the score at 1-1 at 18:18 heading, into the second period. In the second period, Worcester would get goals from Anthony Callin and Ryan Verrier making it 3-1 Railers. Ethan Ritchie would pull the Mariners to within one, with goal at the 10:50 mark, but it would be all Railers scoring for the remainder of the game. For Worcester, Trevor Cosgrove, Blade Jenkins (2), Connor Welsh, and Jake Pivonka would extend the lead to the final score of 8-2. John Muse would pick up the win for the Railers making 22 saves on 24 shots. The three stars of the game, all from Worcester were: #1- Blade Jenkins-#2- Reece Newkirk- #3- Connor Welsh.
