LAVAL, QC. – The Manitoba Moose edged out the Laval Rocket in a thrilling 5-4 victory on Wednesday night at Place Bell. The Moose struck first with a quick goal, setting the pace for a high-energy battle. Laval fought hard to equalize, but Manitoba responded with a flurry of goals, including two from Jaret Anderson-Dolan. Logan Mailloux led the charge for the Rocket with a pair of his own. Tensions boiled over in the second period when Florian Xhekaj dropped the gloves with James Liwiski in a heated scrap. Down 5-3 late, Laval pulled their goalie and cut the deficit to one, but time ran out on their comeback so Dominic DiVincentiis ended the night with 30 saves compared to Connor Hughes‘s 17 saves.

The game also marked David Reinbacher’s return to action after recovering from an injury he sustained in his first game this season with the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL. The young defenseman looked solid, despite the home loss.
