DULUTH, Ga. – For the first time this season, the Norfolk Admirals and the Atlanta Gladiators faced off at Gas South Arena on Saturday night, for the first of a two-game series. Norfolk would open the scoring late in the first period with a goal from Stepan Timofeyev at 17:09. However, Atlanta would come back strong just 30 seconds into the second period with a goal from Ryan Cranford. The Gladiators would go on to add a power-play goal from Cody Sylvester, and an empty-net goal from Randy Hernandez. Atlanta’s Ethan Haider stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced, and was named the second star of the game for his performance.
