JACKSONVILLE, Fla – The Jacksonville Icemen continued their Military Appreciation weekend on Sunday afternoon against the Orlando Solar Bears while wearing their Publix Family Funday game jerseys. This was the final matchup between the two teams in a three-game back-to-back series. Having dropped the first two games, Jacksonville took a 5-1 victory, outshooting Orlando 47 to 30. Matheson Iacopelli earned himself a hattrick, with his third period goal coming with less than one second left on the game clock. Iacopelli leads the team in goals, with 20 so far this season. Garret Cockerill and Craig Martin tallied the other goals for the Icemen. Martin’s being an empty net goal late in the third period. The loan goal for Orlando was a short handed goal by Tyler Bird.
