KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hosted the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs on Tuesday Night. 

The Knoxville Ice Bears were looking to end a two game losing streak with a win against one of their biggest rivals. The game was looking promising for Knoxville going into the first intermission with a 2-1 lead. Roanoke evened the score at 2, setting up for a thrilling third period.
Nick Ford put the Rail Yard Dawgs up by one five minutes into the third period. Davis Kirkendall tied it back up crashing the net on a three-on-two rush. Steven Leonard put Roanoke back on top with a little over six minutes left in the game. With less than 30 seconds left in the game, Roanoke’s Brendan Pepe sealed the win by blocking a shot on the wide open net. 

The Knoxville Ice Bears fell to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs 4-3.
