PORTLAND, Maine – Friday night, the Worcester Railers took on the Maine Mariners, with the two teams continuing to compete for the VIP Rivalry Cup. The Mariners won this one 6-2, with all six of their goals coming from different players on the roster. Two Mariners who found the back of the net included Sebastian Vidmar and Connor Doherty with their first goals of the season with the Mariners. Xander Lamppa also landed on the score sheet, continuing his recent hot streak with his third goal of the season. The Railers’ goal scorers were Trevor Cosgrove with his 10th of the season, and Reece Newkirk with his 6th of the season. With the win, the Mariners tied up the cup series, presented by VIP Tires & Service. Each team has won four games, with two to play.
