The Quebec Remparts, led by head coach and NHL legend Patrick Roy, defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds in a dominant five-to-nothing win to clinch the 2023 Memorial Cup.

The Seattle Thunderbirds found themselves thunderstruck by the Quebec Remparts as Quebec would find their stride early in the first period. Quebec followed up Vsevolod Komarov’s first-period goal with a goal by James Malatesta at the midway point in the second period. Quebec chose not to take their foot off the gas during the third period, with three goals from Kassim Gaudet, Zachary Bolduc, and Charles Savoie.

Quebec Remparts goaltender William Rousseau stopped all 32 shots he faced, earning himself a shutout in the final game of the Memorial Cup.

This solid effort would earn the Quebec Remparts their first Memorial Cup since 2006. This Memorial Cup win would be Patrick Roy’s second Memorial Cup as head coach of the Quebec Remparts.

Congratulations to each player, staff member, fan, and volunteer for the Quebec Remparts and their 2022-23 Memorial Cup win.
