The Macon Mayhem announced that goalie William Lavallière has re-signed with the team for the 2024-25 season.
Lavallière, hailing from Montréal, Québec, is returning to the Mayhem after a brief one-game loan to Macon last season. In his debut in the SPHL, he made a remarkable impression by saving 20 out of 23 shots while serving as a relief goalie. He had started the second period during his February 2024 Mayhem debut, stepping in for Jimmy Poreda, against the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs. Lavallière showcased a string of exceptional saves, although the Mayhem goalie eventually conceded a goal to John Macdonald from Roanoke.
Last year proved to be an eventful one for the goalie as he participated in 27 games in the FPHL with the Baton Rouge Zydeco and Columbus River Dragons, achieving a record of 6-6-3, a .915 save percentage, and a 3.04 goals-against average, including one shutout.
Lavallière began his professional journey in France during the 2019-20 season and made his North American professional debut with the ECHL’s Trois-Rivières Lions in 2023. Before embarking on his professional career, Lavallière dedicated three seasons in the QJHL with the Saint-Jérôme Panthères, Saint-Lazare Révolution, and Montréal-Est Rangers.
Lavallière will join teammates Brody Claeys, Hugh Anderson, Brandon Picard, Noah Robinson, Josh Boyko, Michael McChesney, Jarret Kup, Tao Ishizuka, A.J. Ryan, Jake Goldowski, Ben Brockway, Matteo Ybarra, and Brad Jenion as the Mayhem kick off their season at the Macon Coliseum on October 19th, facing off against the Birmingham Bulls at home.
