SPHL: Macon Mayhem Sign Forward Jake Goldowski

The Macon Mayhem have announced the signing of forward Jake Goldowski to their roster for the forthcoming 2024-25 season. Originally from Thornhurst, Pennsylvania, Goldowski is poised to kickoff his third consecutive season with the Mayhem. Having just wrapped up his debut full season with the team in 2023-24, Goldowski made a notable impression by topping the Mayhem’s assist chart with 23 assists and claiming the second spot in total points with 35, trailing behind only Alex LaPlante.

Throughout the 2022-23 season, the 6’3”, 203lb forward played for various SPHL teams in addition to the Mayhem including the Birmingham Bulls, Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, Evansville Thunderbolts, and the ECHL’s Jacksonville Icemen . During his time with the Icemen, he scored five points (4 goals and 1 assist) in 16 games. In his professional career in North America, Goldowski has accumulated a combined total of 49 points (18 goals and 31 assists) in 90 games.

Throughout the 2021-22 season, he competed internationally in Finland with JHT and IPK. While playing for JHT, he scored 15 goals and made 25 assists, resulting in a total of 40 points over 26 games. Furthermore, he contributed five goals and three assists after seven playoff games with JHT.

Prior to his professional hockey career, Goldowski honed his skills within the U.S. National Team Development Program (USTNDP) across various tiers such as the USHL, NTDP, and international tournaments between 2016 and 2018. Goldowski also showcased his prowess over three seasons with the Saginaw Spirit in the OHL, amassing an impressive 80 points from 38 goals and 42 assists across a total of 167 games. Across the complete span of his juniors career, he had amassed 136 points (70g-66a) in 336 games played to go with a +28 rating.

Goldowski will join teammates Hugh Anderson, Brandon Picard, Noah Robinson, Josh Boyko, Michael McChesney, Jarret Kup, Tao Ishizuka, A.J. Ryan and Brad Jenion as the Mayhem kick off their season at the Macon Coliseum on October 19th, facing off against the Birmingham Bulls at home.
