The Hockey Guy is a Must Follow on YouTube

The Hockey Guy

If you are a hockey fan, you already know that there are a lot of YouTubers out there who talk about all things puck.

There is one that really deserves a hockey fan’s attention. This guy has an abundance of hockey knowledge and is someone that posts videos about the games all year round.

His name is Shannon Skanes, also known as The Hockey Guy (THG). Shannon is all hockey, all the time on his YouTube Channel – The Hockey Guy.

On his fantastic hockey channel, Shannon posts multiple hockey videos a day. Some are on hockey news, team histories, season reviews of past seasons, top 10 lists, jersey reviews, and much more.

As of this writing (Monday, June 5th), Shannon’s YouTube hockey channel has 281,000 subscribers. There are several things that stand out when it comes to THG.

For starters, his knowledge of the game knows no bounds. You can tell right away in his videos that he does his research. His notes-filled bulletin board (s) shows that, and the way he speaks about the game also makes it clear that he is confident in his deep knowledge of the game.

It is also amazing that he posts hockey videos every single day. By doing this, Shannon’s channel has content that is always fresh, and he also always has content on the channel in general that keeps hockey fans coming back for more.

Speaking of hockey fans, I am impressed with THG’s fandom. If you look at his Facebook page and watch his videos, you will notice that he has an unbelievable amount of hockey jerseys and hockey books.

Shannon is also very honest. He does not claim to be an expert or anything like that, and he always welcomes criticism as he knows that what he is giving is just his opinion.

All in all, everything Shannon does shows that he loves our great game in many different ways. He works hard at it, he’s smart, he’s funny, and when it comes to hockey, he is the perfect example of a hockey fanatic.
