Alex Galchenyuk Arrested, NHL Future in Question

Early Thursday, the Coyotes shook the NHL world, announcing they placed Alex Galchenyuk on waivers for the purpose of contract termination. This was a shock for two reasons, they had just signed Galchenyuk TWELVE days ago, and you rarely see a contract termination happening for a player who wasn’t on board with termination. The organization made no more comment on the matter, and it was a few hours of fans and media speculating across the internet.

Galchenyuk has had a roller coaster of an NHL career up to this point, and this could be the final nail in his hopes for NHL success. This case is just beginning for Galchenyuk, and we are likely not at the end of the story, especially if the NHLPA is to get involved.
