The Boston Bruins announced their summer Development Camp roster on Monday, and there were many current prospects, a few invites, and two prospects that will not be attending. One of Boston’s top prospects, forward Dans Locmelis, was not on the list of invitees. Locmelis has played a lot of hockey, including a deep NCAA run with UMass-Amherst and several games with Team Latvia in international play. Locmelis has turned himself into a legitimate pro prospect after being drafted in the fourth round in 2022. The 6-foot, 175-pound center signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Boston in April.
Boston College forward Oskar Jellvik is also not attending the Bruins Development Camp after suffering an injury during his junior season at The Heights. Jellvik was also on an upward trajectory before the injury caused a slip in production. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound winger scored four goals and tallied nine assists in 23 games this season after a 42-point campaign in 2023-24.
Here is a list of the players attending camp:
Forwards: Dalton Bancroft, Andre Gasseau, Beckett Hendrickson, Dean Letourneau, Bret Link, Jonathan Morello, Logan Morrell, Caspar Nässen, Chris Pelosi, Ryan Walsh*, Ethan Whitcomb, Will Zellers
Defensemen: Jackson Edward, CJ Foley, Ty Gallagher, Elliott Groenewold, Loke Johansson, Kristian Kostadinski, Ben Robertson
Goaltenders: Albin Boija, Cameron Korpi, Philip Svedebäck
The camp will be held at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton, Massachusetts, from June 30 through July 3, and the roster is subject to change.
