During their historic run last season, there was one very large blip on the radar that caused a scene for the Bruins, Mitchell Miller. Miller is a young defenseman prospect that was a free agent signing for the Bruins, though he has a dark past of bullying and using racial slurs toward a developmentally challenged classmate.
Once news broke of the signing, it quickly turned to outrage. Amongst the fans and players, leading to Patrice Bergeron answered questions about the signing during an interview with Hockey Night in Canada’s Elliotte Friedman.
Boston quickly changed pace and decided to unofficially part ways with Miller. He would not join any of their affiliates, but we hadn’t heard what the next step in the process was going to be. We now have that resolution.
There is no doubt, Miller being released from the Bruins will not impact their success on the ice. Boston took a shot at trying to fill their lack of prospect depth with a questionable player, and it backfired on them.

Yeah the move made no sense, even from a stricktly hockey standpoint, him being scum aside, hes an undersized Right shot blue liner. He wasnt an upgrade from Carrick, Didier or Wissman in Providence and our NHL defense is stacked. He would have had to play in Maine. So all of that for an ECHL level player???
