Detroit Red Wings Prospect Check-in Week of 11/13-11/19

Red Wings Check In

The Detroit Red Wings are returning home following a tough trip to Sweden. They picked up one point out of a possible four losing in overtime to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday and then losing 3-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday.

The Red Wings’ minor league affiliates, however, combined to go 4-2-1 over the last week with their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, going 1-2-0, winning against the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday but dropping both games over the weekend to the Texas Stars; they were outscored 13-11 in the three games. The Griffins still sit in fifth place in the Central Division at 4-7-1-1 with ten points, tied with the Manitoba Moose. The Red Wings ECHL affiliate, the Toledo Walleye, went 3-0-1 over the weekend and still sit in first place in the Central Division at 8-1-1-1 and 18 points. The Walleye outscored their opponent 16-11. Now, the three stars of the week for the Red Wings prospects.
