ECHL: Adirondack Signs Andy Willis and Jake Fletcher

The Adirondack Thunder have added two new rookie wingers to their roster in Andy Willis and Jake Fletcher. Willis joins the Thunder after four years at Lindenwood University which got upgraded to Division I in the fall of 2022. In four years with the Lions, he played in 74 games putting up 36 goals and 54 assists for 90 points, and spent his senior year as the captain of the Lions. The Missouri native would spend ten games with the Fort Wayne Komets after finishing his collegiate career, putting up a goal and five assists in six games. “He’s similar to Fletcher and Jozefek, but he plays a little bit more of a 200ft game, loves to get on the defensive side of the puck, he’ll carry the puck up the ice, he’ll make little plays to get people open and make little plays to get guys like Fletcher and Jozefek open,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur.

Fletcher comes to the Thunder after four years in USports as he spent his first three seasons at Concordia University and spent his final season at the University of Regina; in 48 games with Concordia, he put up four goals and three assists for seven points and last season at the University of Regina he put up five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 17 games. Along with being a point-per-game player last season, Fletcher also spent time on the special teams at Regina. “He’s a smart guy, makes little plays with the puck to get guys that know how to score goals good opportunities,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur. MacArthur also mentioned that his style is similar to Grant Jozefek.
