ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Trade Adrien Bisson To Tahoe Knight Monsters

The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve traded defenseman Adrien Bisson to the Tahoe Knight Monsters in exchange for future considerations. Bisson, 26, will join his third team of the season after spending time with the Florida Everblades and Adirondack Thunder, putting up 10 assists in 33 games. The Cornwall, Ontario native played in nine games with the Florida Everblades at the end of the 2023-24 season, putting up two assists. He would also play in two games during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

What This Means For Adirondack

The Adirondack Thunder have now opened up another spot on the blue line to possibly continue adding some more college guys after seeing how well the signings of Isaiah Fox and Kaleb Ergang have worked for them so far as forwards. Adirondack has some solidified pieces with experience, like Brendan Less and Darian Skeoch, on the backend, but the rookies this year haven’t panned out. Taylor Ford has missed most of the year with injuries, and the Thunder haven’t gotten much production out of Ty Gibson this season, as he has just seven assists in 49 games in his rookie season in Adirondack. The Thunder have now owed two future considerations after they also acquired future considerations in the three-team trade that sent James Marooney to Maine earlier this year.

What This Means For Tahoe

The Tahoe Knight Monsters have been trying to figure out their blueline over the last month and a half and continue to tinker with it, as they’ve had 17 different blueliners in their lineup throughout this season. Prior to adding Bisson, the Knight Monsters released defenseman Jake Stevens, who was acquired in the three-team deal, and Cade Alami, who had one assist in seven games with the Knight Monsters after finishing up his collegiate career at Minnesota State Mankato. The Knight Monsters hope that a change of conferences will help Bisson find his game and be a pivotal piece for the team, as they are currently in the playoff race in the Mountain Division.
