The ECHL announced that Adirondack Thunder forward Shane Harper has been named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Player of the Month for January. This is the second time that Harper has taken home that award over the course of his career. During the Month of January, Harper put up six goals and 11 assists for 17 points as the Thunder stayed red hot as they head into tonight’s game riding a 14-game point streak. Adirondack has been struggling with injuries and call-ups over the last month, but Harper has been one of the most pivotal pieces to the Thunder as they continue to find ways to get the job done. Harper has had a strong season despite not joining the Thunder roster until November 10th. In 31 games this season, the 35-year-old winger has 10 goals and 23 assists for 33 points in 31 games and is currently tied with Patrick Grasso for the team lead in points.

Adirondack will look to extend their point-streak to 15 games tonight as they welcome the Reading Royals to Cool Insuring Arena at 7 pm.
