The Cincinnati Cyclones have made their second signing of the week and their second signing out of the University of Windsor as they have signed center Grant Spence for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. Spence has spent the last two years at the University of Windsor, putting up 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points in 54 games over the course of the past two seasons. The Ontario Native will be joining former teammate Jacob Durham in Cincinnati as he signed earlier this week with the Cyclones.

In a corresponding move, the Cyclones placed Ben Hawerchuk on reserve. Hawerchuk has two goals and six assists for eight points in seven games with the Cyclones. The 5’11 winger had played previously in Canada in the WOSHL and in England before joining Cincinnati this season. Hawerchuk also spent parts of two seasons with the Jacksonville Icemen. He’s played in 104 ECHL games, putting up 25 goals and 27 assists for 52 points. Over that time, Ben is the son of the Hall of Famer Dale Hawerchuk, who passed away in 2020.

Zach Berzolla was also returned to the Cyclones today after spending nine games with the Hartford Wolk Pack as he put up one goal over the course of those nine games. He has two assists in five games with the Cyclones this season..
