ECHL: Erik Middendorf Recalled to Utica Comets

The Utica Comets have announced that they have recalled Erik Middendorf from the Adirondack Thunder prior to their final game before the All-Star Break as they host the Toronto Marlies. Utica lost Shane Bowers to an injury on Friday night hence the recall of Middendorf after he had an assist in Friday Night’s game vs Reading. The 23-year-old forward has a goal and an assist in six games with the Comets this season and has 17 goals and 13 assists for 30 points in 35 games with the Thunder. For Adirondack, they will likely have Middendorf back before they head South to face the Florida Everblades after they face the Reading Royals tonight and tomorrow afternoon. I would expect the Thunder to go 10-7 tonight as Bray Crowder is the only healthy body on the roster at the moment. Crowder has one assist in 25 games this season.
