ECHL: Forward Carson Denomie Signs with Toledo Walleye

The Toledo Walleye have signed forward Carson Denomie for the 2023-2024 season.

The 23-year-old spent most of the 2022-2023 season in the ECHL with the Iowa Heartlanders. He played in 52 games with 20 points made up of five goals and 15 assists. He also had 23 penalty minutes. In addition to Iowa, he saw ten games in Orlando with the Solar Bears and six games with the Jacksonville Icemen. He had two assists with the Solar Bears. Prior to last season, Denomie was with the Tulsa Oilers. He appeared in 63 games with 37 points (13 goals and 24 assists). 

Prior to making his ECHL professional debut, the Regina, Saskatchewan, native spent four seasons in the WHL. He saw a total of 222 contests between the Kamloops Blazers, Moose Jaw Warriors, Regina Pats, and Regina Pats “A.” Denomie had a total of 109 points made up of 49 goals and 60 assists. His most successful season in the WHL came in 2019-2020 when he posted career highs with 21 goals, 29 assists, and 50 total points. He spent that season with Moose Jaw and Regina.

The 2023-2024 Toledo Walleye season officially begins on Saturday, October 21st, with an away contest in Kalamazoo. The Walleye will be at The Huntington Center on Friday, November 3rd, versus Reading for Opening Weekend.
