ECHL: New Look Gladiators Continue to Build Their Roster

The Atlanta Gladiators signed a familiar face today in Jacob Graves. Graves, a 6-2, 190-pound defenseman comes back for his 3rd stint as a member of the Gladiators. Graves spent the back half of the 2021-22 season with the Glads after a trade with the Wichita Thunder. Graves then re-signed with the Gladiators to start the 2022-23 season but was traded to the Fort Wayne Komets in December of 2022 as part of a deal where he was the “player to be named later” from an earlier trade. Graves certainly brings some size and experience to a Gladiators team that will be looking for some veteran leadership. Graves has played in 269 regular season games over seven seasons scoring nine goals and tallying 47 assists.

This puts the Gladiators at 15 total signed players this off-season. the Gladiators still have multiple spots to fill, including another goaltender. The 21st season of Atlanta Gladiator hockey starts in a little over two months as the Glads take on their in-state rival Savannah Ghost Pirates. The puck drops at 7:00 pm at Gas South Arena.
