ECHL: Savannah Ghost Pirate Roster Transactions 03/23/2024

The Savannah Ghost Pirates activate one from Reserves as another gets recalled to The Henderson Silver Knights.

We saw left-handed forward Alex Swelikoff taken off of reserves for the game against Florida Everblades Saturday night. Alex played in the March 20th game against Florida. The three periods saw a total dogfight between both teams. Swetlikoff started the night with a fight involving Floridas Sean Josling and ended the night with a hooking penalty in the third period. Alex also spent time this season in the AHL with Henderson and, during that time, had 19 games in Henderson with three goals and no assists; he completed 24 games with eight goals and 13 assists for the Ghost Pirates. The energy Swetilkoff brings to the ice is highly anticipated for tonight’s game.

Savannah sends half of the French Connection back to the AHL. Forward Patrick Guay heads out to the west, being recalled to the Knights. Patrick started the season in Henderson, joining the Ghost Pirates in November. He arrives in time to help take on the Milwaukee Admirals on March 23rd and 24th. Guay has Ten AHL games with the Silver Knights and one assist. Guay had a busy night last night in Florida, where the Ghost Pirates were shut out 0-4. Guay had four shots on goal and one penalty for Tripping. Guay has 25 games, 11 goals, and 18 assists with Savannah.

Savannah will play Florida Everblades for the third game in their series this week, as they’ve lost the last two. Florida is chasing the Playoffs, and Savannah is chasing the clout of beating the fourth-ranked team in the Southern Conference. The puck drops at 7:30 pm EST.
