ECHL: Tahoe Knight Monsters Name Assistant Coach

The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced that they have hired Brett Boeing as the team’s newest assistant coach to help out head coach Alex Loh. Boeing joins the Knight Monsters after spending last year in the USHL with the Dubuque Fighting Saints as a volunteer assistant coach. The Fighting Saints would make it to the President Cup Final but would lose to the Fargo Force in five games of a best-of-five series.

Prior to stepping behind the bench, the Barrington, Illinois native spent three seasons in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye, Reading Royals, and Wichita Thunder, putting up 38 goals and 49 assists for 87 points in 164 games. He would put up two goals and three assists for five points in 19 games during the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The 29-year-old spent four years at the NCAA level, which included a year at Michigan Tech and three years at UMass, where he put up 14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points in 101 NCAA games and would help the Minutemen win a Hockey East Regular Season Championship in 2019.
