ECHL Transactions: Tulsa Oilers 03|12|2024

The Tulsa Oilers added defenseman Cade Townend to the roster Tuesday.

Carleton Place, ON native Cade Townend, 24, signed his first professional contract Tuesday. He played for five years in the NCAA, four with Mercyhurst University, and this year with Robert Morris University. He had 18 goals, 34 assists, and 97 penalty minutes in 165 games in college. Townend joins defenseman Liam Markhauser and forward Josh Nelson in signing their first professional contract with the Tulsa Oilers.

The Oilers travel to Wichita, Kan., to play the Wichita Thunder tonight at INTRUST Bank Arena; puck drop is 7:05 p.m.
