Philadelphia Flyers Notes:

The Flyers lost to the New York Islanders on Monday night 4-3. The goal scorers for Philadelphia were Anthony Richard, Brendan Furry, and Rasmus Ristolainen. Richard was a member of the Bruins organization last season.

Boston Bruins Notes:

The saga of Jeremy Swayman continues. Bruins Team President Cam Neely insinuated that the team had offered Jeremy Swayman $64 million in contract talks. Swayman’s agent said there was never an offer of that amount. The agent, Lewis Gross, stated that he and his client would decide on the next steps from here. It is looking more likely that Swayman might not play for Boston again.

Philadelphia Flyers Lineup:

Tippett-Couturier-Konecny
Foerster-Frost-Michkov
Gaucher-Luchanko-Brink
Richard-Desnoyers-Hathaway

York-Sanheim

Boston Bruins Lineup:

Philadelphia Flyers Players to Watch:

22-year-old goaltending prospect Alexei Kolosov made his debut Monday night for Philadelphia and made seven saves on eight shots. Matvei Michkov gave the Flyers a 3-2 win in overtime over the Bruins on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The rookie phenom should help the Flyers’ power play immensely this season.

Boston Bruins Players to Watch:

With Swayman’s future up in the air, goaltender Joonas Korpisalo has entered the spotlight. Head Coach Jim Montgomery named Korpisalo the opening night starter. The veteran goalie has been sharp in the preseason so far. Newcomer Elias Lindholm is skating with the team as he recovers from a nagging injury. Lindholm will be in the lineup Tuesday night.

Next Game:

Philadelphia Flyers vs New Jersey Devils, October 3 at 7 pm.
Boston Bruins vs Los Angeles Kings at Quebec City, Quebec, October 3 at 7 pm.

  1. Where’s Poitras? I just want to see Swayman traded. His selfish attitude has me concerned.
That ain’t healthy in The locker room. You’re gonna get double what you got last year, be happy and take it don’t ruin your career by being unreasonable.
