Connor McDavid Wins Multiple Awards

Connor McDavid earned his third career Hart Trophy after leading the NHL in goals (64), assists (89), and points (153); all three categories are career highs for McDavid.

McDavid has consistently shown improvement year after year, his 2022-23 campaign only further proved it. McDavid’s 153 points rank 15th all-time for points recorded in a single season. He sits behind the names of Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Steve Yzerman.

While also capturing his third career Hart Trophy, McDavid netted his fifth Art Ross Trophy and first Rocket Richard Trophy. A notable feat, as not many players net four trophies in one season. McDavid’s 2023 Art Ross win is his third consecutive Art Ross trophy.

To cap off McDavid’s impressive season, he also won the Ted Lindsay Award for the fourth time in his career. This puts him in another exclusive club with Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux as the only players to ever win the Ted Lindsay Award four times.

The Hart Trophy is voted on by the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
The Rocket Richard Trophy is won by the player with the most goals in a season.
The Art Ross Trophy is won by the player who leads the NHL in scoring points at the end of the season.
The Ted Lindsay Award is given annually to the league’s most outstanding player as voted by the members of the NHL Players’ Association.
