Nashville Predators Acquire Grigori Denisenko

The Nashville Predators season hasn’t gone to plan and right now they seem they are adding players they hope they can fit into their lineup or move to Milwaukee of the AHL to make call-ups. There also will likely be bigger moves coming with the NHL Trade Deadline coming in 17 days. Today they acquired forward Grigori Denisenko from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for future considerations.

The Florida Panthers drafted Denisenko with the 15th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Before heading over to the NHL in 2019-20, he spent time in KHL with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. In 38 games he recorded 12 points on six goals and six assists. At the World Juniors for Russia, he had nine points on three goals and six assists. In his first season with the Panthers, he played in seven games recording four assists. He also spent that season in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch. In 15 games he had nine points on five goals and four assists.

He played in just one game, in 2021-22, with Florida recording zero points. In the AHL with the Charlotte Checkers in 30 games he had 18 points on nine goals and nine assists. The following season, in 18 games with the Panthers he had three assists. With Charlotte in 56 games, he had 36 points on 12 goals and 24 assists. In 2023-24 he was now with the Vegas Golden Knights. In those six games, he was held pointless. With the Henderson Silver Knights in the AHL in 65 games, he had 56 points on 20 goals and 36 assists. This season in one game with Vegas he had zero points. In 42 games with Henderson, he had 24 points on ten goals and 14 assists.
