The Capitals with a win can also clinch the Metropolitan Division.

The Islanders snapped a six-game losing streak on Friday with a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild. They improved to 4-4-2 in their last ten games, averaging 3.1 goals per game while allowing 3.6 goals per game. They sit seven points back for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
