JACKSONVILLE, Fla – St Patrick’s Day celebrations occurred on Sunday afternoon, with the Jacksonville Icemen taking on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. The luck of the Irish was on the Icemen’s side, with a 1-0 victory over the Swamp Rabbits. Jacksonville wore their green Publix Family Funday game jerseys and hosted their second Pucks & Paws game, including a dog race in the second intermission.

The loan goal in the game came from Chris Grando at the 12:13 mark of the first period on a behind-the-net feed from Jerry D’Amigo. In his first game since returning from injury, Michael Houser earned himself a shutout, turning away all 24 shots faced and earning him the #1 star of the game. Greenville’s netminder Jacob Ingham turned away 27 of the 28 shots he faced, earning him the #2 star of the game, along with the game-winning goal scorer, Chris Grando, for your #3 star.
