ROCHESTER, NY – The Rochester Americans fell to the Providence Bruins on Friday night 3-6. While the Amerks produced more shots than the Bruins, they couldn’t find the back of the net the way the Bruins did.

Filip Cederqvist scored his first of the season in the first period, Brett Murrary scored his third in the second, and Linus Weissbach scored his third in the third. Lukas Rousek, and Brendan Biro were noticeable on the ice for their pace throughout the match. Brendan Warren dropped the mitts with Joey Abate in the second – the refs really let them duke it out, and Warren seemed to get the better of the match. The crowd was buzzing but the Amerks were not able to find momentum, as they let in a goal about a minute after the fight.

Providence had numerous players producing for them – Georgii Merkulov, who currently leads the team in goals and points, scored two and got an assist. Anthony Richard scored two, Jesper Boqvist got a goal and an assist, as well as Justin Brazeau and, Michael Callahan both getting two assists.
